I'm looking to place an order for some CPC tournament chips. Give me some feedback on these chip options I've been working on. No wrong answers. If you want to respond with a lineup that you like, go right ahead. Looking for a 5 chip lineup ... T25 / T100 / T500 / T1000 / T5000.

GREEN CHIP
#1 was the first design that I really liked. Then when I replaced the Gray with Retro Blue, I really liked it. Feels like a nautical color scheme. Leaning #4 but not 100% sure.

#5LIGHT GREENBRIGHT WHITERETRO BLUE

BLACK/GRAY CHIP
#2 was my first choice because it is similar to the BTP T100 chip. Then I started working with the Gray and Charcoal, and really like the contrast, especially on #3 and #5.

PURPLE/PINK CHIP
#2 was the first one I really liked, then the Dayglo Pink and Dayglo Peacock started getting worked in. #5 is a 3-color combination I really like if I decide to avoid the Dayglo Yellow base.

YELLOW CHIP
Really like the Dayglo Pink and Retro Red combination on #1, but I'm just not sure that a Dayglo Yellow base will work with a hotstamp. I don't go with a blue chip, #4 works pretty well.

ORANGE CHIP
I started with an assumption that Dayglo Tiger is the best orange, but the more I look at the chips, Dayglo Peach is just a killer color in real life. #1 was where I started, and I still really like how the Dayglo Green and Blurple work with the Dayglo Peach. But if I don't go with a Dayglo Yellow base chip, I like #4 a lot, maybe with Dayglo Peach instead of Dayglo Tiger.

Started with #1, which I still really like. Then I saw the RPC chips and like how the Dayglo Arc Yellow works on #2.

T25: #1, but try light blue instead of gray
T100: I like a gray base. #4
T500: #1
T1000: #5
T5000: #4 but with DG Peach base
T25000: #1

Try again

Individually I like:
Green #4 (but wondering if light gray with Retro Blue would work better)
Black #2
Purple #1
Yellow #3
Orange #4
Blue #3 but #4 is nice too and probably better since there is a lot of blue in my choices.

But would need to see the lineup to see if they work together.

I'm not sure why, but I don't like white as a spot color on CPC chips -- with very few exceptions.

(exceptions: when the ONLY spot color)

- also not feeling any of the greens
- black #2 I guess
- purple #1 (hard to beat a Starlite $500 tribute), or #5
- yellow #3
- orange #5
- blue #1

Green: #4, but could be easily persuaded to change if I saw new options

Black/Gray: #2, but I like multiple choices here

Purple: #1, and it's firm with no close 2nd

Yellow: No opinion - I don't particularly care for any of them, to be honest

Orange: #4, but I share @JMC9389's opinion that it could also be worth a look with DG Peach base instead of DG Tiger.

Blue: #1, but same sentiment as the Green lineup.

The RPC blue is a rip off of Silver Saddle, but I'd imagine you already knew that.

I'm not a chip collector, so I know nothing about that sort of thing. There are very few edge spot color combinations that I would be able to attribute to a specific casino.

Green: Maybe try the grey spot with retro blue spot? Either DG or light green base?
Black: #2, but #1 is a close second
Purple: I agree, I love #1 the best, but might be too dark next to the T100 choice. So I choose #2. But...I LOVE retro lavender (have 3 different fracs with that base color!), so maybe play around more with that.
Yellow: Not in love with any, but maybe decide spots on this chip last, depending on what the other chips look like.
Orange: #4 is by far the best, but has a yellow spot next to a yellow chip, if that matters. So I vote for #5, also nice.
Blue: I like 2, 3, and 5 -- like the yellow chip, depends on the spots on the other chips.

Samesies.

Individually :
Green = 4
Black = 2
Purple/Pink = 1
Yellow = 1
Orange = 5
Blue = 2

Green # 4- I am planning on doing a similar colorway on my next set, quite possibly for the $1
Black/ Grey #5
Purple # 2
Yellow # 1
- I also like 4 a lot but tried to avoid having blue in every chip
Orange # 1 - picking as a set. In a vacuum I think # 5 is my absolute favorite chip of all mocked up, but trying to avoid duplicate Tiger and Blues
Blue # 1

Well, if I’ve learned one thing from this experiment, it’s that no one here agrees on anything! :ROFL: :ROFLMAO:

I really do appreciate everyone posting their opinions, though. Even if it was to say, “all of these choices suck balls.”

On the whole, I've found the spot pattern you've chosen to be challenging to find a lot of choices I really like. Sticking the spots together changes how the colors play together and the overall look of the chip. That said, I think you have some decent choices for black/charcoal and blue (I've mocked up some of the exact same chips actually), but the other colors not so much.

There are some serious discrepancies between the monitor and actual color, and spots also change the way colors can look in person as well as the felt color. I have to remind myself of that a lot because I'll see something on screen and then the color samples don't reflect the same thing. There are fortunately a lot of pictures of customs to look at for reference to how a color comes out. I always look at my samples on the poker table with the same lighting as poker night.

I'd stick with green as the base color and not go dayglo green. Either that or light green. I also don't think dayglo yellow is a great base color. If you use a dayglo pink base you don't want a dayglo tiger base as well, even peach is pushing it. I'm in the process of reworking colors on my 1k and 5k, they are too difficult to reliably tell apart at the table while playing.

I wasn't married to the original edge spots. Here are 3D14 edge spots with a few color variations.

Curious (and not a criticism), why did you go with the same edge pattern?

Because it’s a tournament set. Personal preference to have them all the same.

Copy that. Was wondering as I am pondering a tourney set also.
