Did anyone have a set made of these recently? I like the feel of textured chips and inlays so it seems like this mold would be right up my alley. I would imagine that the chips themselves would be a bit heavier in comparison to their molded counterparts. I'm toying with the idea of a custom cash/tournament hybrid set with trimoon spots. I was thinking of the possibility of doing it on the Scrown mold to make it look like a Mapes tribute set, but I didn't like the feel of the Scrowns when I got my hands on some.

Does that make them official casino weight?

Seriously, I've always wanted to see a set, but I didn't realize that a mold was available until the Chesterfield post. I'd love to see some pron of them.

I am a fan.

I posted a quick mock up that I did in the mock up thread with what I'm thinking.

Uh....I may need to get these made. I've got a problem here...

There’s also the “Not currently used; future undecided” plain smooth mold.

I'm going to bump this.

Any thoughts on the textured plain mold? I'm sure there will be lots of information once the Chesterfield chips are out in the wild. I'm heavily weighing going with a mold (B-mold or something similar) for my quarter pie set or the plain mold. I really like the textured inlays I have on some of my other CPC chips, so it seems like the plain textured mold would be right up my alley.

My cash set is textured no mold and I absolutely love it. I’ve had Roman mold and MD50 sets and like the no mold much better.

Thanks for responding! If you don't mind, I have lots of questions if you're willing to provide your input.

Besides the textured feel of the faces, how do the chips stack up (har har) against other molds? How do they shuffle? Any spinners that you've noticed?

Are the chips a bit heavier than their molded counterparts?

Have you noticed any flea biting of the edges or are they pretty durable despite not having any outer ring?

@Meddler2 's $1 chip here is what I had in mind for my quarter pie set. Only exception is that I'm going to try to pull off a tri-colored quarter pie set with two different spot colors.

They stack great, no issues there and they shuffle great. Haven’t had any spinners at all unlike my Roman mold set which had quite a few.

They do feel a bit heavier. They have my favorite “feel” of any CPC’s I’ve handled.

No issues with flea bites as of yet.

Personally, I think they work best with solids from a look perspective but I haven’t seen a spotted no mold set in person.

Thanks for the reply. I agree that if you're making solids, no mold is the way to go. I'm a little sad that the no mold option isn't offered for 44mm chips. I'm having mine made on the A-mold, but man, that would've been sweet.

@JMC9389 I can't help you yet, but these are only 2-3 weeks away from completion apparently.

The Chesterfield replicas are also in production right about now, so there will be plenty of examples soon.
I love them Mike, can't wait to see the pron. Also in for a sample if you're going to offer :)

I purchased two sample sets of the Chesterfield chips. I'll see how they feel once they are ready.
