UPDATE! Please visit the order thread if you are interested the now completed design of the Atlantic Club hot stamp tourney set!

Ok let's try this again. I have narrowed it down to the top 4 choices from the original poll (excluding Royal Cardroom since it is already a custom set) and I added one choice. This time you will only be given one pick amongst the 5 choices. When voting please be aware that we need something that will appeal to many different members living in different locations. I think this is where we derailed last time because everyone threw in names that appealed to them and not the masses. Well over 80 names were submitted!

Now, please vote if you think you will be in for at least 300-500 chips. These chips will go on the A-mold or Jockey mold only! We are not changing the design for this GB but we are changing the Name. I will leave the vote open for 1 week.

If you are interested, I think we are leaning toward the DG colors for this set using one of the two previously mentioned molds. We need a commitment of at least 8000 chips for this to move forward.

I would love to see comments but let's keep this thread on track please!

Just for clarity. Will the pepper street design be the style used regardless of name? Or once the name has been set will you take designs for consideration?

IIRC the price was around $1.10 per depending on how many DG colors were used

Yes using the design but changing the name. This is where the cost savings comes in.

Tourney only since we are using existing dies which is why we were offered the reduced price.

I am also thinking that the t1000 be DG Tiger and the t5000 be the Yellow! Love me some DG Tiger!. Also the DG Peacock is a must. For this GB the average price point per chip was based off of 60% DG colors.

Well there are a total of 18 votes and if everyone that voted ordered at least a 500 chip set we would have enough! The only problem is that there are some that have voted that are not participating. What to do??? I guess I will take that in to consideration since the vote is public.

I will do a 500 chip set.

I was in for that Sun Fly Bwalk group buy but I think these are better.

Also, some voters might choose not to order if another name wins or after the mold is chosen. For instance, I would probably be in with Atlantic Club, but prob not on the Jockey mold. Too bad that we can't use MD50, that would be a better fit with all the names.

This is very true. If it wasn't my choice that ended up being favourite, instead I'd probably pony up for my own customs (almost same colours and stamp design).

Kudos to David O for taking the bull by the horns and progressing this.

I don't quite get what you're disagreeing with/attitude? It is a soap opera here, which is why I wouldn't go for that name on a chip set. I'm not saying it's not a common nickname for cities, or even that it's not a good, neutral choice for these chips. My bad if that came across wrong.

Fully agree re not allowing debate to rumble on, it ultimately diluted threads and is a too many cooks scenario, in my opinion.

I know the feeling. some of the votes have been by folks that are not going to buy so we might have to factor that in as well. All I am hoping is that we decide on a name that has a global appeal. That is why I did not want o see a name like Texas Club or Cali Club since those would appeal to a certain region only.

We have until next week and we can narrow it down to give you more anxiety if you want. I do know you are in along with MD Mike. Hopefully we get more interest to make this a go.

I did. I was going to remove that and also remove the option to change just to try and keep track but I decided against that and forgot to remove the "Allow the results to be viewed without voting" option.

Also at the end of the voting period I will be calling out for who will be ordering since I think those votes should be the ones that ultimately decide the name. It is still a pretty decent race of the top three.
