Mostly looking for critique from a color and edge spot regards does it make sense etc. Its a black $1 so that is a little weird. Again don't critique my makeshift inlay too much plan is to hire an actual Artist/designer to do that once I am ready I just made this as a place holder.

A little backstory on the theme the lighthouse in Cochin, Saskatchewan is sentimental to my family. My mom passed at the family cabin in Cochin this summer and the lake was one of her favorite places to be with the lighthouse being iconic to the area hence the theme.

I have a few different edge designs made up as well so nothing feels concrete yet except the theme of the chips.

Blast away at the design and should I make a $100 if I don't think it will ever get in play? .25/.25 is the normal stakes and $100 x 10 = $1000 on the table would be biggest or bigger than it has ever played iirc.

A couple pics of the actual lighthouse or view from it.

I would try to not duplicate colors across your chips...I see you have dayglo green on three chips. Also, dayglo Saturn is not a great option, so I would avoid it as both a spot and base color. I like your general chips and progression. No need to do a $100 if you won't use it.

Get a sample set from CPC so you can see chip colors on hand if you don't already have samples.

Thanks for the feed back I didn't know if use the same color for a spot on different chips was deal breaker or not I was going with it haha.

I do have the rounders (CSQ) and Atlantic club hot stamp samples from CPC but not the full color sample maybe I should order one but it the last samples did take over a month to get to me.

The circle around the artwork feels constricting/confining. Let your artwork breathe a bit. I'm a fan of white space, but that caps on either side of the inside circle of art feels wasted and unbalanced.

I like it a lot, a few things come to mind:

- too much dg green
- DG saturn is more like a green, and not in a good way.
- too much green on the background as well, change to light gray. Will give a nicer contrast

I would start by changing the background to something more neutral like light grey.

While you can reuse colors you *should* limit it. Only use Saturn when you are a seasoned CPC owner imo, I’ve seen it work but typically not on your first set

oh yeah the inlay is not what I want to use just a place holder going to hire an inlay artist to do one for sure just recruiting one atm and want the chips closer to done before I do so.

But yes I agree on the same thing the circle feels so weird but i didnt even know how to remove it since it was all one image. I just used some AI art and my crude skills at a first attempt and realized I'm not going to get the inlay as good as I want on my own.

Yeah I got these same comments from others so I will drop out some of the green edge spots and I will change the base color of the $20 chip.

Would you suggest using completely different colors for some of the edge spots instead of DG Green or just change some of the choices of DG Green to different shades?

I have the Atlantic Club Hotstamps from CPC (Sample) what yellow is used on the 1000? I don't mind that yellow much it is close to what I want.

I would aim for as many different colors as possible but I’ve seen plenty of examples of nice sets with lots of reusage as well, heck in own my set of 5 denoms I use both dg pink as well as dg peacock twice.

You should do what you like and mostly listen to objectively based feedback such as potential dirty stack issues and staying clear of dg saturn

Took everyone's feed back (TY all) and I updated the chips a tad see below. I also did a slightly different 5 as an alternative just changed the pink and red from spot and base colors just to see how it looks just wanting opinions on how its looking now.

Also don't like the look of the DG Yellow on the $20 chip on the screen a ton but I think its the same color as the 1000 in the Atlantic Hotstamp set which i have in front of me and I do like that color.

Let me know what everyone thinks now.

Only note would be to make sure you download the cpc template to make sure you have a good bleed/safe zone with your text. You can find the template files at the bottom of their chips designer tool page.

The denomination number alone should be centered, and the currency symbol looks better off center when it is a smaller font than the denomination number.

Don't use $0.25 as denom, use 25¢

Yellow type if very difficult to read on a white background - so I highly recommend picking a different color - I used spot colors as my numerical denom colors - but chose an orange variant for my yellow $5 chip.
