This is a set I'm getting ready to order and was looking for input on design and color-edge spot choices.
Art work was created by Quick Silver.

Thanks Pat

I'm not sure how to correct the blurred look I'll try to get a better image.

All in all, great selection edgespot progression wise. That's perfect. Colors are great too. i love the classy look and feel.
Being a big fan of bright colors, I might try to some brighter color for gray in $1 chip and dark green on $25 chip.
Great job.

Love it. As puggy said, maybe swap a slightly brighter color in on the $25 and maybe in the $1 too. Quarter/5/hundo are all awesome.

I really like where you're going with the set AK!! Very, very promising...

A couple of comments: Dark Blue is very, very dark, almost black... As a better alternative for a bit more contrast, Retro Blue might be a bit better... Also, I like Steve's inlay design but I think there could be a some more emphasis on the denoms... They feel a little too much 'lost' within the rest of the design imo...

Again, it will be a great, great set!!

Very Nice! I agree maybe a bit brighter spot color on the $25's and make the denom stand out more. All in all though a very nice job!!!

When I was working these there were a few things I would change with the CPC colors you've chosen. I would try to use some more dayglo colors where I could. For instance in the $100. Rather than just pink I would use the dayglo pink. Paulo is accurate when he says the dark blue is VERY dark. So is dark green. they are very over-saturated.

I'd be concerned with the text around the outer edge being too small. Have you printed in real life to check?

you'll probably want to bring that in from the edges a bit. maybe it's just my eyes but that font is kinda tough to decipher. take all my criticism with a grain of salt - as long OP is happy that's all that matters :) i really like the color choices and agree that the denom could stand out a bit more.

Thanks for all the advice! I will do a little adjusting to the color choices.
They have been printed and should work. This all started with making labels for My GV"s and Steve did such a good job with the design that I'm getting the new set made.

Looking good Steve...

Now, I know CPC has guidelines in which there needs to be a certain space between the edge of the printable surface and the beginning of the design 'per se'... From the looks of it, I don't think there's such gap in your mock up... I could be wrong though... If I am, apologies... ;)

Here is a close up of all the blues minus the new DG Peacock.

Light Blue, Imperial Blue, Blue, Retro Blue, Dark Blue, and Black

Love these. Agree with others regarding font size, make text larger and be sure it has room away from edge. Prolly reduce image size a bit to accommodate.

Suggestions:
Go with retro blue on the $5. Much richer color.
Make the small spot on the $25 bright white.
Use lavender not purple on the $100, better contrast. DG pink. Love that chip.

This is my third mock up. Any thought or suggestions again would much appreciated!

It looks a little busy/cluttered from a design standpoint.

I recommend splitting it into two sides, like a coin:

- Reverse has that beautiful landscape (great colours; I like how they change) with maybe the denom too; no text. Don't reduce that great image. Blow it up bigger!
- Obverse has a text logo; all white text on black background (the b/w binary will complement the colourful reverse). This way you could showcase a nice big AURORA CLUB in the art deco font (maybe with a visually interesting arc/rise/etc.), and wrap the additional text around it in a simpler, easier to read font. Shrinking down and wrapping already stylized fonts starts to get messy IMO. For example, if someone wanted a western theme, it doesn't mean it needs to be filled with decorative saloon fonts everywhere.

Don't be afraid of a little negative space. It's easy for inlays to get cluttered.

Overall, I'm loving the direction.

The light green chip with the bright white is a keeper. The quarter is also a keeper. I like the original $5 with retro blue instead of dark blue. I still like my original $1.
I'm 50/50 on the first $100 with dayglo pink and Your new $100

I think mocking up the new hundred using dayglow peach or arc yellow would be better than the yellow I used (and I don't know why I used that yellow? I wanted orange but never noticed?) I've been staring at the computer too much!

Might want to run the idea by CPC, the font clarity might be lost at that size. Or print them to size to see how they look

Nice Artwork! my only concern is that if you have the ablility to make a theme why not carry that trough with edge spots? to me (and please treat this as what I would do not you - everyone has an opinion) anyway to me all the chips look like they are from different sets. Like it goes 2 thick spots to 6 thin then 3 thin 3 fat, then 9 different colour edgespots all in a different pattern. only the inserts hooks the set together. I see you went for a progression but to me it still looks like they dont work together.

a spray paint buddy of mine said that any time you go to 4 colours it looks odd. there is some sort of science to it but i cant back it up with any studies. so again it may be just his opinion but i do think the hundo looks just a little off, cant put my finger on it but i think all the colors work with black but dont all work together.

But again Just an opinion - Like as..h..les we all have one.
