Has anyone tried custom ceramics from CPC? I don’t remember seeing this as an option until recently.

I’m curious how they compare to options like BRBro and Sunfly. I also see they have cards mold blanks, are those the same ceramic blanks as Tina? I imagine the printing might be better considering the quality of their custom clays but who knows.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any firsthand info.

Thanks!

BRPro uses blanks that are light years ahead of cards mold. Great texture on their smooth chips and never a spinner in the 1,400+ that I own.
I havent handled any of the Sunfly chips, but they dont offer cards mold. Apparently Sunfly has cards mold offerings too....

I figured all cards mold were just about the same...unless there's a premium CM?

They also have solids, diamond molds (which I’ve seen in a casino before actually), and hybrids

Right, and I've heard very good things about Sunfly blanks. But all the things I've ever heard about cards mold have all been pretty consistent.
So getting cards mold ceramics from CPC is probably a waste, but maybe some of their other ceramic blanks might have similar quality to BRBro or Sunfly. That was kind of my first assumption also. Maybe someone on here has gotten samples of them

I honestly don't know the origin of the blanks that CPC offers. I'm only going by the cards mold blanks that I've seen.
Their plain blanks have a similar texture to the textured no-molds that are popular around here as well, which makes me wonder if their all sourced from the same place.

Edit, I see that Sunfly DOES have cards mold...but only in photos, I don't see them offered as an option.
Samples! I need samples! :ROFLMAO:

I was under the impression that CPC got their blanks from Sunfly. I could be wrong.
I was under the impression that CPC didnt even make their own ceramics - that they just farmed out the work. Not sure if I have any reason to believe that though.

Seems reasonable.

Sun-Fly offers a multitude of ceramic chip options to casinos and the home market -- three different 39mm debossed blank designs (diamonds, cards, scrolls), four different hybrid molds (two 39mm and two 43mm, each with different center recess diameters), and a variety of plain no-mold blanks in various sizes and finishes.... plus colored roulette-style chips and various sizes of ceramic plaques in three styles (thick oval, thick rounded-corner, and thin rectangle).

All are considerably higher quality than anything currently produced in China, many of which are copycat knock-offs of products that Sun-Fly has offered for years. The Chinese products have two benefits -- six-color dye-sub printing, and lower cost.

I recall seeing prior discussions on PCF indicating that Sun-Fly manufactures the ceramic items offered on CPC's web site, but I have no direct knowledge of this claim.

Sun-Fly products can be found on their two web sites:
sunflycasinoequipment.com
apollonchips.com

In recent contact with Sunfly, and, apparently they don't offer samples, which doesn't really make sense to my simple mind. If I believed in my product I'd want to be able to get it into a many hands as possible. Would love to have an across the board sample set. A couple of their designs for tournament sets are reminiscent of Bud Jones chips, though I might like a set of those.

The interesting thing to me about CPC ceramic offerings is the two shapes and multiple size offerings for plaques.

Hongkong is somewhat like Hawaii of US

It part of China but also different
Yeah Hong Kong was under western culture for like 99 years or something, its likely the best of eastern and western culture fused together. I would love to visit!

If you are looking for quality on par with BRPRO or Sun-Fly, why not just go with BRPRO or Sun-Fly? Am I missing something here?

I’m not specifically looking to get ceramics from CPC, I’m just curious as to where they fall in the ceramics world price and quality wise. I know they’re the only game in town for clays, and they’re pretty damn good at it - but this was the first time that I saw their dye sub ceramic offerings

Trust me here. No disrespect intended on CPC's but there is the best and then there is the rest.

Just go with BRPRO. You won't regret it

I think Sunfly also has the different shapes, which lends to the “Sunfly supplies CPC” theory
The CPC ceramic plaque options are the same as what Sun-Fly offers. I haven't compared pricing.

Sal @OWPS used to offer the same plaque options too, but I think those were printed by Gene @ABC.

You are correct. Sal designed and made my Casablanca plaques. I've confirmed that ABC doesn't have any of his art/project files anymore.

I got a sample set of their ceramics and imho they don't feel (or look) high quality. They feel like plastic.
