How resistant to grime and how easy/difficult is it to clean the Bright White CPC clay? I'm designing chips on the tool and I'm wondering if I should avoid the white chips. My entry into clays are used casino Paulsons. Those white $1 chips where disgusting and I got them pearly white. Now I know you can't Oxy CPC's like Paulsons, so how clean can I get them if they get nasty? Also the material of my white Paulsons feel like they're more resistant to getting grimy compared to the CPC bright white samples. So I know some of you guys on the forum have put some miles on your super cool custom CPC/ASM sets. So what's the verdict.

Its recommend to use as edge spots because they won't stay clean very long as a base color. Plus the cost more but the DO look better. I'm interested to hear what others have to say.

I've noticed only a very slight amount of transfer on the bright white spots on my $1 (blue base with 4A14 bright white and DG pink spots). They are usually in play with DG peach quarters (solids) and yellow $5s (4D14 bright white and dark blue spots). They probably don't see as much use as other custom ASM sets around here so take this for what it's worth :)

I also think the issue is more that the bright white gets more easily (or more noticeably) "contaminated" during production than keeping them clean during/after play.

Kind of a let down. I was gonna make a chip with a 1/4 bright white. Wouldn't want to spend that much and not have them be "bright".

Following with interest as I am planning on ordering at least 300 chips with a bright white base. Would a simple magic eraser cleaning do?

I used bright white on my $100 Boulevard chip. It looks ok in a vacuum but I don't think I would spend the extra $ for it again. Compared to the Paulson white it just looks dirty /yellowish (see image below). I think that you just got to work within the strengths of CPC and unfortunately that doesn't include super bright colors.

Thanks. That seals it. Light blue chip instead of white. Love those chips again. I was in LA in September, wish I had known about the mariposa club then.

My 1/2 pies have some color transfer from the black half. I haven't tried cleaning them so can't comment on that part. But IMO it shits over regular white and worth the extra costs and problems.

Would be much appreciated if we could get a close up of that 1/2 pie color transfer. Also, how much have you played with those?

See, the bright white in @stocky's set looks WAY brighter than the chips in The Boulevard set.
I think the contrast between black and white helps in stockys but I also think the lack of Paulson white around makes it look better. Like I said, in a vacuum bright white looks ok...see my photos below, see looks pretty white unless against a brighter white :)

Okay stocky, put those white Iron Bank chips in a Paulson setting, please....

The bright white in the colony club $1 looks great. Not dull at all in a really bright set.
