To me, bright white is what I consider white when thinking of chips colors. White is more like a light beige.
Yep. When you look at casino Paulsons white is almost always closer to CPC bright white than it is CPC white. Next order involving white for the base I'll consider bright white, but at minimum it will be normal white but unweighted. To me, bright white is what I consider white when thinking of chips colors. I assume it’s not an option but that’s only because I’ve never heard of it before.but at minimum it will be normal white but unweighted.
I didn't realize that was an option. I would like to see what that looks like.
Almost said exactly this as it’s what I assumed but didn’t know. Does CPC mix their own or do they order both with and without the brass? Curious if any of the other unweighted colors work the same way, meaning is retro blue just dark blue with no brass? It's not an option. Regular white is weighted with brass flakes. Bright white has no flakes. Only difference.
I do love those Boardwalk chips"Regular white does seem brighter today than older ASM regular white .....
CPC customs:
First Pic, 25 Brite White ( No Premium) Spots:
2nd Pic with 500 , which has regular white spots:
3rd Pic, Regular White as Base color $1:
That is my understanding, although the newer dayglo colors (peacock, tiger, etc.) may not have corresponding weighted colors.Curious if any of the other unweighted colors work the same way
In the other thread the OP started about Solid ASM/CPC's, the Royal Cardroom Chips were made with " weighted Dayglow" .. not a normal listed option..but at minimum it will be normal white but unweighted.

I'm sure if the order is worthwhile, David / CPC will do a color variation weighted / unweighted, but it would have to make sense for them, you're probably not getting 120 pcs of 1 denom with a custom run of clay ....
I wonder if "Weighted Bright White" would come out as an interesting variation....
From @krafticus posts in the other thread:
Yes, other than the wtdDG Peach that seemed to come out like a very light brown, ( I once had a few of those), the weighted DGGreen and most of the others seemed a nice variation in photos ( not really bright DG anymore, but interesting color variation) ... I'd probably try it on a custom chip, however I doubt I would ever be doing an order that includes 600, 700, 900 or more of any 1 denom ... one could always hope.. !Correct. Between the cash and tournament sets, the min quantity was 1000 chips per color to get the DG colors weighted. It really dulled them down, and I would never do that again. I have some pics somewhere that show the difference.
For the record, weighted DG green wasn't horrible. weighted DG Peach looked like vomit. I think we may have also done weighted DG yellow, which also looked like crap.

yes, both the A moldSame Mold?
OH. The marshmallow ingredient in the bright white had more air in the mixture, of course.yes, both the A mold
So weird. And since I didn't notice it right away I'm not sure if it is something that happened or if that's how it came. But I just don't get what could possibly cause that.OH. The marshmallow ingredient in the bright white had more air in the mixture, of course.
Sounds perfect for my upcoming hangover theme set.weighted DG Peach looked like vomit.
Probably gonna pass on this one, though. Don't really want 1000 shitty chips.weighted DG yellow, which also looked like crap.
They were machined to different size diameters, and probably at different times (hence the two different machine set-ups).I just don't get what could possibly cause that.
Looks like 39mm versus 40mmSo this seems like as good a place as any to bring this up.
I noticed that my bright white sample chips is considerably bigger than my standard white (or any of the other chips). Seems impossible. I also didn't notice this right away so I can't say if it came like that or if it has somehow swelled up. I have oiled my sample chips with 100% mineral oil. The edges on the bright white chip are not sharp, they are rounded. Almost like they puffed up.

Bill, did you pay the premium on both? I love those b Diamond molds you sent me
Yeah I think that seems to be good for edge spots, but probably best to pay the premium for base colorThanks, yeah, I did. My ones have a bright white edge spot which I didn't pay premium for.
Correct. They're a mess after pressing:
