I don't know if it's that I can't see that far or my bad math but does anyone use any tricks or shortcuts to count stacks far away? Say you are in seat 1 and they are in like seat 7,8 or 9.

Well, nobody stacks their chips 80 high, so you got to figure their stacks are between 15-20. Learn those two numbers for each denom, like a stack of 15 5’s is $65 and a stack of twenty is $100.
Then just look to see if they are stacking closer to 15 or 20 and then approximate from there.

The trick is to not have too many denominations in play. Largest always in front.
