Copag Card Marking Rampant at WSOP (1 Viewer)

Those are rfid cards if You were watching the espn coverage, they are jumbo sized. Every other tables used standard index copags
Yup, I heard them say that. You'd think with cards that are automatically identified, they could get the hole card graphics on the screen in time to follow the action. Not following the action!

Yesterday at a cardroom, when somebody showed his cards, I noticed a big indent (either chip or thumbnail) on the ace of spades. And I said "Boy that ace is marked pretty good." Either nobody heard me or nobody cared.
I watched for it after that, but could never pick up on it. Maybe I should buy some glasses.

Got to be careful in casino games. Since they are 100% player banked, the house has nothing at risk (except goodwill). So they care, but not much.....

Those look the same as the Borg cards from eBay. If you get them let us know if they are a match, the Borg Catco's are great cards.
I know that this is an old thread but did anyone ever confirm that they felt the same as the Borg cards? I picked up several (open / used) set ups from that Jumbo holdem tourney in vegas. They all look to be in very good condition. and the ones I've used have been great. Better than my copags.

The best COPAGs I've played with are the ones made in Belgium (by Carta Mundi, I assume).

What problems did Modiano have?

Can we assume the problem with the cards had to do with it having to be RFID readable?

i got a set of WSOp 2016 Copags and this exact indent was made on almost every card after 2 hours of play. it was one specific player whom I called out, stop burying your fucking finger nails into the card. use your thumb, not your nail, its really simple
I always thought the type of dents/marking in the cards shown was from squeezing while applying pressure on a round card cap like a chip, thus, the arc...
