that’s a lot text to read.. i’ll just pass and we’ll see who is right in two years
I knew you would go silent. Guys like you are always the same. Never want to enter into a discussion and present a reasonable case for your side. Usually just yell louder and hope people believe you or resort to name calling. Here is some more evidence that I dug up right here in our own forum:

A thread about our first experience playing poker at a casino. I know this is not concrete evidence or anything, but it sort of makes my point really well. 1st 5 posts are of guys buying into a nl game and getting felted very quickly and leaving mad/frustrated. 6th post is one of our members buying into a small limit game & here is his post: "February 2005 at Soaring Eagle in Mt. Pleasant MI. Played 3-6 limit because they didn't have NL. Bought in for $100, cashed for $300. Hooked me for life."
Now granted not everyone gets lucky on their 1st trip of limit and gets hooked for life, but since there is a LOT more variance in limit than there is in nl it is MUCH more likely that a new or beginning player will last a little while and have a little fun. This improves the chance greatly that they will return and give it another try. nl in a cardroom with experienced players is extremely demoralizing/intimidating for a new/beginning player where limit is not nearly so much so. Here is the thread presented as further evidence: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/first-time-playing-poker-at-a-casino.39414/

No Limit starts tomorrow and I just saw Monarch Casino is opening a new poker room, this will be the first new poker room in probably ~15 years up there.... should be a great time, I’m going up Sunday for the first time since Jan 2020.......
does the poker room open tomorrow? any photos of it online?

exciting times!

No I just saw it is now listed in the Bravo poker app. Says that it is coming soon and that’s it. I know they are advertising pretty hard on TV that they are running a job fair for 4 days next week I think. This is all from the 2+ year remodel they have been working on. I just didn’t know poker was in the plans...!
I’m more used to rooms closing vs opening.....like Gilpin, Lodge, etc...... it’ll be nice to have another option up there!

And it begins...... :wow:

I'm just not sure you are completely accurate.

Tunica has pitched NL for years. When I first played there roughly 20 years ago, card rooms were small and limit. Now the big rooms all pitch NL, and are much, much larger.

I think there is room for both Limit and NL. I think Colorado's market and tourism is big enough to maintain a few rooms of NL.

226 people waiting at the moment, so awesome!
There are duplicates on those lists I’m sure (like someone on 1-3, 2-5 and PLO all at once), but still it’s insane numbers for Day 1......

Go early. List today is already out of control. No call ins and still 6 handed.

went up this hill this weekend. stayed at monarch. rooms were nice!

their poker room is good. seems like the largest room now in terms of players.

but the racetrack on the table is terrible and they don’t have the shufflers mounted flush with the table- cards cards get stuck all the time when people fold, etc.
