Not sure who else frequents the CNN website, but they just re-designed it and it's terrible. I though I was on the Bing website as first.

I agree 100%. I have at least a quick look at that site once or twice a day, can't really stand it anymore.

Their content has been slipping for years. Looking for a better news website.

That's a news website? I had to double-check the URL to be sure.

One more step in the dumbing down of mankind.

yeah the upside of the redesign is that it is now reflective of the quality of the news delivered.

i honestly don't think you can look to a single news source even for updates as to what's going on. i have a few sites i visit at least once or twice a workday to get an idea of what's happening. my typical line-up is:

gawker
jezebel
slate
NYT
politico
drudge
huffpo
buzzfeed

but honestly, more than any individual news site, i would rely on twitter. of course, you have to cultivate a decent feed, but i think i learn of breaking news there more often than any other single place.

EDIT: holy shit as if we needed more proof CNN was garbage: Don Lemon to Muslim Human Rights Lawyer: "Do you support ISIS?"
