Since I am still waiting for my ultrasonic, I figured I'd scrub some of my Aztar $25's by hand and see how good I can get them... and then see how good I can photograph it!

Here they are!

I started with Dawn, a generous amount in a dish tray, and then added some laundry detergent to it, actually helped quite a bit! And smells fresh :)

Using a cut-down toothbrush to scrub with, then a microfiber towel.

wow, never seen secondary Aztar $25s that worn or dirty.

Using an OxiClean solution will even out those dark splotches after you clean and oil.

I didn't think they were very worn.. still got all the cross-hatch just a tiny bit worn on the edges from shuffling I assume..
.
Here is a comparison to a couple primaries:

25 chips was enough for today, I'll grab some oxi-clean and some TSP tomorrow and give that a go

OxiClean solution for the win. A mild solution with warm (not HOT) water, stir the chips around, then a few minutes soak, then a quick brush scrub on either side and into a water rinse bath and finally onto a towel to dry. Done several thousand chips that way. Fantastic results and you do many hundreds in a relatively short period of time.

Bought OxiClean, TSP, and some Magic Erasers last night.

Tried the OxiClean today and damn, that cleans them fast and thoroughly. Let them soak in it for a minute or two, then pull them out and a light scrub, clean!

Definitely a lighter shade than the other chips, so it removes all the grease on the chip meaning I will probably end up oiling them now.
