I plan on buying some chips from a fellow chipper on here and I was just wondering what's the best way to clean/oil chips? I also have some old chips that are in pretty good condition. Would cleaning up relatively new chips damage them/ damage the label?

Lots of threads available on this topic, but the short answer is that specific chips may require specific types of chemicals to safely clean them. All the types of plastic chips and Paulsons can handle most types of detergents. You must be very careful and delicate with CPC/ASM chips.

As far as oil, generally save it for your real clays, and use the smallest amounts to get the effect you need. Over-oiling can sometimes lead to inlay damage, especially if they are shaped and old.
