I agreed to loan my US to a friend so she can clean the chips she uses in her charity room.

They're all ABS composite - some are similar to these (below) and others are dice chips. Most are hotstamped.

What is the best cleaning solution to use in the US? I know TSP will erase the hotstamps, so that's not an option. Should she just use a grease-cutting soap like Blue Dawn?

Detergents that create suds (like Dawn) are no good, since the bubbles kill the ultrasonic cleaning action.

Real TSP, yes. Lundmark TSP is not. Not real TSP, and not bad for hot-stamps.

If you are overly-concerned,, try Simple Green.

We'll certainly try a small batch to see the effect... The TSP I have on hand is something I picked up at Home Depot.

Her chips aren't hotstamped with a recess... It's more like they're printed on. They're already kind of faded... I don't want to use a cleaner that will make it worse.
