I cleaned a couple and they don't look clean, when I put them with the other uncleaned chips.

I have cleaned several K, Hot Stamped chips before, but these just don't look clean.

Is this just the color of the chip?

Thanks....

IMO, that's the way they are. You can remove the finger gunk, etc. but that metallic gold just has that "dirty" kind of look. Years ago I had a rack, cleaned a few and had the same thoughts as you do.

Hey Russ,
A few years back I asked a few different CTers that had gold Fitz and they all said don't bother cleaning.
They had tried and it didn't change the color.

Some just look darker brown on the outer edge when they're in a rack, or stacked in a barrel on the table. I had 4 racks and it's like the faces are gold, and edges are dark gold/brown. I had a mint rack and found that the edges looked slightly lighter on that rack.

I'll attach pics of my 4 racks here so you can compare shades. MyCollage_2.png MyCollage_3.png MyCollage_4.png MyCollage_5.png
Check the bottom right angle on each picture.

Thanks for the pic's and coments.

I also thinks the colors add to the chips.

Remember when we were kids and how cool it was when you opened that 100 pack of crayola crayons with the sharpener in the bottom? And how flipping awesome it was when you peeled back the lid to see the gold, silver and copper crayons?....and how disappointed you were when you colored something with those colors?

...yeah kinda like paulson's metallic chips. :(
