Hey all, I haven't been on PCF in a long while, went a little crazy with poker and chips over the past several years and needed some distance.
Quick story: recently I've been selling stuff that I've had for years but that I just don't use anymore, and have been giving the money to several friends and family who need money during this crisis. I've got a couple listings on eBay and one or two other places, and so far things have gone well.
The reason I say all this is because I threw up these Cle HS WSOP chips late last night on eBay, and this morning woke up to a nasty message from a PCFer. Honestly I felt like it would be more of a slap in the face to PCF to come back just to list items in the classifieds. You guys are an awesome community with a lot of great people, which I really haven't been active in in years. I'm not trying to make enemies, Lord knows right now the last thing we need is ignorant people sending stupid messages telling each other to remove themselves from this planet...
So if I broke a rule of some sort by throwing these up there, I apologize. My intention was never to upset anyone. Finally on with the sale:
Up for sale are Horseshoe Cleveland Casino World Series of Poker tournament chips. Many of these chips are a little dirty and have a couple flea bites, but overall the edges are sharp and the chips have plenty of life in them! (See pics!) Please note that these are .36mm diameter chips, which means they are a bit smaller than standard poker chips (which usually measure .39mm).
Included are enough chips for a one table, nine person tournament with $10,000 starting stacks.
The chips included are:
88x $25
88x $100
22x $500
79x $1,000
($5k and $25k chips are in the pictures solely for reference, but not included in this lot. They will be sold separately eventually.)
Breakdown per player is as follows:
Five of the nine players will receive:
8x $25
8x $100
2x $500
8x $1,000
The other four of the nine will receive:
12x $25
12x $100
3x $500
7x $1,000
11 extra $1,000 chips are included to color up the $25 and $100 chips and blinds increase.
I'm selling five sets of these, and am willing to give a discount depending on quantity bought.
Based on recent prices, free shipping, and fees, I listed each set for $649 on eBay, with the "make an offer" to reject anything under $400 to at least be a conversation starter.
I'd like to see $500 for these after all fees, but I've been so out of touch that I'm happy to entertain any offer, just please support your offer if it's very low.
And better yet, if you have a charity or loved ones you'd rather donate the money to, do it. I'll send you the chips, you give the money to do some good. The guy who messaged me on eBay talked about me being greedy and squeezing every penny out of my sale...I'd like him to see that I'm putting my money where my mouth is. This isn't about me...other people need this way more than I do.
No racks will be included. Chips will be well packed and protected for shipping. I'm happy to ship out of the country, but please understand buyer is responsible for any and all additional fees that may be encountered. I've experienced issues several times regarding taxes and such when shipping outside the US. I've always been able to work with buyers through any issues that arise, but just know that sometimes things don't go as smoothly or as quickly as planned. Should there be issues, I will be responsive and do my best to remedy the situation (within reason).
Lastly, please DO NOT message me asking for samples, sample sets, individual chips, etc. At this time, I'm only selling these as a 1 table tournament set. Don't be surprised if I don't respond to a message that ignores this request.
THANK YOU!!
