I need to fly into Chicago a day early (Sunday) before some meetings and was wondering what the casino poker scene was like there. I'm seeing these properties pop up on a Google map but was curious what people had for feedback regarding each room:

- Horseshoe Hammond
- Harrah's Joilet
- Hollywood Casino
- Grand Victoria Casino
- Rivers Casino
- Ameristar East Chicago

Anyone have any inside info on these rooms?

Horseshoe Hammond has probably the best poker room in the area. That being said I haven't played in Joliet in quite a long time and don't know if they have revamped there very small, very cramped poker area. If I remember correctly one of the tables was under a set of stairs. I also have not played in Rivers or GV either but have never heard anyone talk about those rooms being better than the 'shoe.

- Horseshoe Hammond
- Harrah's Joilet are both nice and plenty of action. I believe the 1-2 at HOrsehose is min 100 max 300 The Joliet table is 50 min 200 max. Check Bravo poker for availability

Others are - meh

Rivers does not have a poker room. its $25 blackjack and craps (rarely a $15 min, nothing lower)

Shoot me a message if you hit the Harrahs Joliet, I live 10 minutes away
