OK, I am watching poker central and am wondering why the commercials have shit chips.i mean come on. You have a "good" poker channel going but show crap chips in the adverts???

The Producers don't understand the value of authenticity. They would much rather promote the "message" with as little cost to them as possible.

They need to hire better prop consultants!

I am sorry, I am pretty drunk right now so take what I say with a grain of salt. How much would it realy cost to get a set of starburst?. ( Now that I type that with the price I see being paid I "maybe" see why they use shit chips. ....... no! I don't get it! Why use 8 stripe when you could easily use any casino chip (off the strip for a price) that would make it much more appealing to the poker player.


Then again I could just be piss drunk and rambling.

I work in the industry and can tell you that the prop folks most likely don't know shit about cool chips and the producers don't care. Most people watching don't give a shit about the chips either. You ever notice in commercials they have a spin fisherman dressed like he is going fly fishing..... same stupid laziness. The laymen is clueless.
