Hey group, I am new here but have been on the prowl for some new chip sets. As a part of the search for chips, I stumbled on an Estate Sale of a guy with a lot of casino "swag."

I talked to him today to see if I could get some photos of the chips and he was less than helpful and prefers to do business in person and with cash, which is fair considering the amount of stuff he is liquidating.

I am in Illinois and far from Nevada. Thought I would forward a link to the group if anybody is near the area and wants to check it out. He estimates he has over 500 sets of dice and wanted $2/pair and mentioned around $1 chip for over 800 assorted chips that he had.

These items have been listed for months and months and months and months. I highly doubt there will be much there for interest to PCF members, unless they are singles collectors and willing to pour over folders. But who knows, there could be a few gems in there.

That's good to know... I saw he had some dice collectors in the side hobbies thresd too. May be a far reach, but thought I would mention bc it would kill me if I didn't and there were some awesomeness out there! :)

Did you see the pic of ashtrays? Really? Selling glass ashtrays?

It reminds of a garage sale I went to a few years back where they had hundreds of ashtrays for sale. He was an American Airlines pilot and had stolen them from all the places he had stayed. These weren't special or unique ashtrays. Just your basic ashtray.

Some people...

I went to view this estate about three years ago. I felt uncomfortable enough with the seller, that I specifically left the address and contact information with my coworkers just in case.

The vibe was uncomfortable, and there was nothing to see. I can’t imagine that anything is better now.

Sounds like a scam to me.
