Hi all,
I’d love to hear any recommendations for a T10,000-25,000 tournament with up to 20-25 players. I’d like to keep the total chips to 1,000 max.
I’m thinking something around:
T25- 240
T-100 - 300
T-500 - 160
T-1,000 - 240
T-5000- 60

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Or I was thinking

T25 - 200
T100 - 260
T500- 160
T1000 - 300
T-5000 - 80

this would support T25,000 with 8,8,4,7,3 up to 20 people with rebuys. And I could go 12,12,5,6,3 with a few less players.

I've always liked this breakdown:

200 x T25
200 x T100
100 x T500
200 x T1000
80 x T5000
20 x T25k

Works for exactly 25 players at 8/8/4/7/3 or 16 players at 12/12/5/11/2. With 25 players the extra T1ks color up the T25s/T100s perfectly.

This is nice and 200 less chips.

What you *don't* need is unequal numbers of T25 and T100 chips, or more T25/T100/T500 chips than are necessary for the maximum number of projected starting stacks. Use T1000 and T5000 chips for color-ups and re-buys.

For 25 players using 8/8/4/7/3 (25k) starting stacks, you will need:

200 x T25
200 x T100
100 x T500
200 x T1000 (25x for T25/T100 color-ups)
85 x T5000 (10x for T500 color-ups)
8 x T25000 (T1000 color-ups)
-------------------
793 chips

You will need extra T5000s if you want to run a 3-table T25k re-buy event -- personally, I'd add another 100x T1000 and 30x T5000 chips (and bump the T25K count to 15). Use 10xT1000 plus 3xT5000 for the 25k re-buy stacks (you won't need more than ten). 930 total chips.
