I bought these Chipco chips from the UK about 11 years ago. I´ve been out of the "chips scene" for quite some time and am just now experiencing that Chipco is no longer in business and Paulson is not making chips for the home market anymore... what´s the world coming to?? So I need some advice. I don´t know the value of these, I don´t know if I should sell them, save them in a vault, use them or what. They´re fantastic to play with and the feel of them is quite superb. They are in excellent condition.

But I am currently setting up a home tourney and wished I hade more chips. I have to resort to uneven stacks and that isn´t totally satisfactory. I can´t find similar chips anywhere on the net, I´ve tried reversed imagesearches, but with no luck. I contacted Marlow casino Chips and asked for their help, but they could only say that they remembered the chips and not much more. Palminports identified them as made by the original Chipco many years ago, and they could make replicas to meet my demand for more chips. But that doesn´t seem quite right to me, I think that originals should stay originals, even if I have too few. They are not custom made, I remember picking them "off the shelf", so I´m quite surprised that I haven´t found any similar. I payed about 1 £ pr chip back then. I bought 500 of them and haven´t lost a single one.

Do you guys know what the series was called? What they may be worth?
Can you give me advice on what the smart thing to do is, when it comes to selling and buying more chips of another brand, locking them in a safe, using them or what or what?

Thank you in advance from a newbie from Norway.

Those seem to be a variation of the chipco "Casino" I have about 1000 of the "casino" line. Some of mine are original chipco, some are gocc. Game on chips, which is a sponsor here can probably make you an almost identical chip. They might even have the artwork on file.

As far as value, they aren't worth anything as a collectible since gocc or palm can make you an pretty much identical chip for less than a dollar.

*Update for those interested. I tracked down the original seller of the chips. It was Erica at Gameoncc.com who had the answer. I bought the chips at eurocoin.co.uk about twelve years ago. They were no longer available, BUT they could make more of them. Evidently it was their own custom design, no wonder I've had problems with finding similar. So now I'm considering getting som more of them.... or getting som new ones. It depends on the price they give me.
