Chip Stacks for Newbies (1 Viewer)

Been hosting a monthly game most of the year. Quite a few new players. Am I crazy, or does it bug anyone else when new players stack their chips in tiny stacks.

We play 0.25/0.50 with a $50 min buy-in. Each player gets 20 fracs, 20 singles, and the rest in $5s. Some of these newer players spread their chips out across a half mile of rail. Drives me crazy, am I alone?

Drives me nuts lol, in like stacks of $1 with their .25c chips and $5 in ones, drives me up a wall lol.

Yeah lol they stack them in sizes they mean to bet with (or at least the guy that does that at our game)
Makes it easy to bluff him out tbo

That's just an indication of a new player, I am fine as long as they make sure their big denomination is visible and not hiding at the back/

Had a player stack his ones in piles of 8 while playing .25/.50, he was doing pretty well so he had a minefield going. Asked him why, and he said it was so he could easily count out $32.

No one asked any followup questions, this is why I call my players apes.

Last month, we played $100 buy ins, and at the end of the night one player had $500+. Built a great wall of China, nothing taller than 5 chips...

It’s only the uneven stacks that really bug me. People who stack chips 5 high are always just beginners and it is what it is, but when they’re 9,4,7, and 6 high with a big chip in the middle of one I’m definitely saying something
