I enjoy scouring eBay for chip deals that no one else may notice, or in the case of a good buy-it-now one where no one has pulled the trigger yet. I thought a recent auction highlighted the case more than the chips, and it would take a trained eye with a little knowledge to figure out these were better than super diamonds. I don't have them yet but I am pretty sure I scored 500 ASM blanks in a nice case for $10.00 plus $6.50 shipping. I have had some killer deals on mint Paulson fantasy chips and TRK chips, but none quite this cheap. Do I need these, hell no! But I will still probably get them into play. Will make a fine cash set, not sure what mold they are.

outstanding...............I'll buy them off of you when you want to get rid of them, lol. One of the sets I miss most was my ASM's "A" mold.........just loved those chips. Couldn't help selling them. I had the chip bug influenza.

Very nice! The recessed center is nice and wide, but on the white chip there seems to be too much going on to be FDL. I can't quite place it.

I don't know the name of the mold, but it looks like the one with the four suits and then a line (1/4 quarter type), does that make sense? I see it in the first white row the best........
Still a great score, I always filter eBay highest first to see the "real" chips, but I'm probably doing it wrong and should do lowest first.... ;)

Awesome find! When you search eBay for Paulson, ASM, etc you normally won't find a deal like that! I search the very generic terms (clay chips, poker chips, casino chips, etc) and go through thousands and thousands items looking for something just like that! That will make a nice cash game set. Blue quarters!

My guess is they will be the A mold. I think ASM does/did most of their generic sets on this mold, and this one looks pretty generic. Plus the A mold has a slight recess I think.

One important thing for finds like this is obvious, the seller has no idea what they have! This was from a high volume seller and when I tried to ask a question I received an automated reply from eBay which basically said the seller is simply too busy to answer questions, so either bid or don't!

Man that's a solid business strategy. I do however wish I could use this at work.

damn I hope your right. The A mold is sexy

This is a cheap error if it is that. Would be awesome if it was ASM. I want to caution that ASM sold the pokerchips.com website name long ago to a generic casino supply seller, so these may be a Chinese job. ASM used the pokerchipsonline website, but I don;t recall ever seeing such a paper insert.

I hope you're right Mike and those are A-mold... I'd be even happier if those were MD-50s or HH or B... Now, my solid A's don't have ANY recess, or at least anything I'd call recess... I wouldn't be able to use ANY label with those chips... Regardless of the mold, that's a STEAL!!!

Likely legit, I hope for OP. I've received similar notices with ASM Portland chips and the toll free # is same.

Hard to tell what they are from that pic. ASM disassociated themselves from pokerchips.com many years ago. This generic pieces of paper went in with all sets, might not even be related to those chips.
Despite numerous requests pokerchips.com refuse to take down their page advertising our clay chips. It is a pain considering they quote out of date prices to which some of our customers keep referring.

I think it is nice score for the case alone. Hope you got some csq or roman solids.

That's crazy. If someone contacted them about buying CPC chips, what would they do? Would they just take their money and say "sorry, these chips are unavailable. Please buy some garbage chips instead. PS no refunds."

We tried to place an order right after re-opening to see what the deal was. They replied immediately "Sorry, we don't supply those chips anymore, havn't done for a few years"

Someone should ask them for a quote for 50,000 chips. That might make them think.
