Hi everyone, I'm working on a small project and now I'm getting lost in details and could use some help.

I have a small round dining table ~36in diameter (1 bedroom apartment in nyc) and I want to make a table topper for cheap. I was thinking 1/4 inch volara or neoprene cut to the exact size and speed cloth either glued and cut to exact size or just placed on top and pinned under. Do I have to glue it for a smooth, nonshifting surface? Would you recommend one method over the other?

I'm also thinking about taking 1 inch railing (the tubes that look like water noodles with a slit) and just sliding it over both the felt and foam to secure everything in place. Will that stay in place easily or is it going to be loose? I need to be able to easily roll everything up, and store it away.

On a side note, I want to post in classifieds to see if people have leftover foam, felt, glue spray, railing, etc. that I can purchase for cheap. Is that okay or should I only be posting poker chip related things there?

Thanks and let me know what you think!

This one is nice because it has the stitched edge. I tried to find out how thick it is but didn't see it mentioned.

I have a Poker Hoody. I only use it 1-2x a year on my third table. I've never managed to get it to cinch properly on my wood-top 8 ft. oval table. However, I lay a carpet pad underneath, lay the Hoody on top, and it's a nice surface. The neoprene is thicker than the typical 2-3mm toppers.

Fingers crossed! They have seconds with slight cosmetic defects for half off so I got one and it should be here on Monday. Happy to leave a review if anyone is interested.

I've bought 5 poker hoodies for different tables! I love them but I agree with the comment about the strings not being adequate for cinching it down.

These tarp clips strategically placed around the edge and secured with bungee cords will get you the fit you're looking for.
