So it is pretty common knowledge that Brie and I collect sample sets... I wanted to share one I have been working on for a while now. Not complete by any means but still pretty damn cool!

Over the years it is common for casino's to change their chips. Security, wear, updated designs to keep the fun factor up as the casino ages... they don't just want their clientele to age with it!

I picked a pretty readily available casino to try and document these changes

The Garden City Casino in San Jose, California.

Just thought it would be cool to show some of the newer members how the chips change over the years!!

Obviously I still have some more to round up... other than the $3 paulson which is pretty readily available. The rest are expensive and more than I would like to pay for single chips... but over time who knows. I may have to bite the bullet on some of them!!

Does anyone else have any sample sets that show how a casino changed their chips over time??

Fellow Chipper Ben

This is another one I was working on before I built a set of them.
Artichoke Joe's in Carson City Nevada

They had 3 different lines of chips... although I am not sure if the "poker room" line were in play at the same time as the "peanut house"? I do know the "Horse book" series was earlier... with Spinettis setting the price of $975 for their $25 Horse Book chip, it is likely that one will never be in my sample set!! Lol

Many of these were taken out of this unorthodox sample set and were reunited with their friends in my playable But ugly Arichoke set!!

My personal favorite casino chips ever!!

Older members appreciate it too. I’ve always thought the garden city’s were disasters, but those 312s with metal inlays are very cool.

Alright folks give me one last chance... lol
How about Different locations of the same casino line?? I know I am reaching here... maybe a pie in the face moment..
Terribles Casino and Isle of Capri!

Unfortunately as you can see both have a ways to go!!

AND the coolest Isle of Capri $1 chip... some damn Irish dude named @Irish hogs them all up!! So I can't show the Biloxi $1... if I ask nice maybe he will share, and may have a few other beauties from this line as well!!

Kidding of course, my boy Matt knows that any we find go to him until he completes his quest!!

Better or Pie in the face??

Beginning to think the singles market is dead round these parts!! Oh well... I still love them!!
