Hey there guys, its going to happen, i am going to lay off buying chips (haha) and actually start dreaming up my customs and getting to work on it... i have 3 sets that are going to be relabled, and i'm going to start with this one, its the newest and its probably the one im going to use the most.
it consists of...

Minty THC solids i got for a cash set.
100 Bright Peach or pumpkin or some crazy orange (fracs)
280 charcoal ($1s)
200 fushcia ($5s)
60 white ($20s)
ill try to pick up a few more barrels to fill the set out and maybe get some hundos

I am set on the name,

CASINO DEL VALLE

because, thats what we call the place in los angeles i live, THE VALLEY, and i love the hispanic vibes here, i am italian, and it translates the same, so CASINO DEL VALLE it is...

i did this design tonight and its my first label mock up i have ever done, i am not really a graphic designer, and i struggle with photoshop, so i cant do what i truly want to do, but i like this vibe nonetheless,

at the end of the day, i am really inspired by the vibes of COLONY CLUB chips, and i might go in that direction, but what happened tonight was some gangstery vibes and it worked out okay, reminds me of mapes a bit... i donno why...

Main question for moving forward...

at what resolution and size does Gear suggest for labels? i am assuming he has a really nice printer that gets very detailed, but what are the best resolutions and sizes to design into, so that everything is proper and stays crisp for print?

also, what size label is proper for THC chips that are going to be milled? also what size bit is suggested etc...

The V in Valle isn’t very distinct. When I look at the thumbnails without clicking on them, it looks like Walle to me.

Also as someone who is originally from East LA, the font makes me think gothic as opposed to gangster.

My 2 cents

Text size on the ring is way too small. You will need to increase the font size dramatically if there's any chance to make it readable.

And as far as the font itself, perhaps someone knows of a good font that is reminiscent of Mission-style architecture from the SW USA/Northern Mexico?

Oh, and if you need a barrel or so of Excellent-to-Near Mint solids for your hundo, feel free to send me a PM - I've probably got odd lots of small quantities in various colours that should fit the bill in your line-up.

So cool!
I actually started a colony club type design, but was going to use an image of our Mission, or some cool images of the mission bells. That’s my neighborhood I grew up in “Mission Hills” and the San Fernando Mission is there.

Everything I was playing with ended up looking like Taco Bell so far though. :) haha

In the end I think I’m going to go this direction.

The line up so far.

I think what she needs is a rack of turquoise or yellow for twenty’s and the whites are Hundos?

What would you guys suggest for the high denoms? 20/25 and 100?

Those peach really set it off. Those colors look amazing together. Nicely done

Pics don’t do the Indian blue justice. It’s a little more green than it appears here. It’s an awesome color. Mint green I dig too in this line up.

I was messing with around with the color sample set and Indian blue was definitely my favorite with your colors too

i frickin LOVE IT!!!!
i think my orange is actually pumpkin or regular orange or something not alot of people have, but this gets the job done...

im coming in with a new design asap too.

I don't like the fonts yet, and the colors need work,
but i'm liking the colorful aztec pattern thingys...
i like that i can tie in colors to the colored chips
and add some flair to the blacks and whites.

This is now one of my favorites. Definitely run with that idea imo. Just needs some fine tuning

You'll have to increase the font size for your "Casino Del" part. And most of the colour detail in the lower quadrants will be indistinguishable. Remember, it's a 7/8" inlay.

had some time to play...i have the main logo down....
i think i am going to go with a white ring for an oldschool vibe, i think i am going to "weather" the white a bit and make it more of a light beige filter.
hopefully i can add a bell to the areas where the V hangs an the colors start.
this design gives me enough of the colors i want without overpowering everything. its reminding me of crystal park a bit now.
have to add "los angeles" small print
have to find something for the top?

Looks very nice!

You've got some extra black space at the top of your inlay. My suggestion is to partially fill it up with the "Casino Del" text by separating it, with "Casino" on top and "Del" underneath, obvs. It will also allow you to increase the font size a little bit, as this is still very small on a 7/8" inlay with a white ring.

You are going to lose the detail in the "$5" part, I'm afraid.
