These are obsolete tokens from the Belgian casino pictured above in the city of Namur. The jetons are 43mm in diameter, the plaques are a bit under (10.000) and over (25.000) the dimensions of a playing card. This set is meant for single table T200.000 tournaments, with the following breakdown:

40x 500
80x 1.000
80x 5.000
50x 10.000
40x 25.000

Awsome set, could you please share how you got them ?
I presume these date back from the pre EUR time...

Yeah those values are francs, not euros :D Sets like this are pretty rare and don't come up often, my story goes like this...

I originally got my hands on some other B&G jetons and plaques back in 2008 through ebay.fr (Casino de Menton, pic below, now sold). I got the set mainly for the JAV chips, but fell in love with the jetons and plaques. Unfortunately they were all drilled, but I still played HU with them a few times. After that I had been on the lookout for a proper set.

Finally in 2012 I got lucky and found a seller on ebay.fr with stuff from Casino de Namur (I believe this person worked in the casino). First I bought jetons and 25k plaques, but soon made a second purchase for the lovely 10k plaques and some brand new 500 and 1k jetons I found out he had (they actually came in original wrapping!) because the casino used ones didn't clean up as well as I wanted. My extras are now pretty much sold, except for a few jeton sample sets.

Really beautiful!

But do you use them? I would think using them would slow down play quite a bit...

Sure we play with them. Haven't noticed the game slowing down any. (y)

Twas about time you post some pr0n of those awesome jetons. Tourney in January with these yes?

Yeah I figured with all the excitement about plaques going around, it was about time to post these on PCF.

@Puggy sure we can play with these again

Beautiful, mipevi! Thank you for sharing those shots.

Does the texture on the 5000 chip allow for better stacking than the 500s and 1000s?

The texture (I think it's called lace filament) is on the inside, so it's a visual effect only. I like how the plaques also have it, making for a nice transition from jetons via the 5k (I had different jetons and plaques to choose from when building my set so this was intentional). :)

That makes sense. I was clearly one of the "dress is white and gold" people.

The transition works great. Love everything about the set - ya done well there, sir.

These make regular clay poker chips seem pretty "ordinary".

Spectacular collection. Wow.

Hahah I can see you caught the bug! o_O

Clay chips are the king of handling, and when done right they look absolutely stunning. But jetons and plaques have a certain je ne sais quoi about them that just can't be matched.

Since I will have some MSK plaques made soon, I've been browsing for nice designs.
Looks like CdD had a wicked designer

Moehahahahaha...that is awsome :(

To bad those plaques a part of a huge sample set (24 pieces @ 625)

Belgium seems to have a very rich tradition in awsome plaques

Another nice example:

Man, I could go for some triple lunettes right about now! :ROFLMAO:

Not really my taste but nice to see Belgian chips on here. GLWS!

Well I finally got some proper storage for these. Thanks to @Pinball for hooking me up with Matsui plaque racks! The jetons are thicker than regular chips, and only 19 fit per row in BG/Matsui racks. A full barrel of 1k's is pretty tight in these plaque racks too so I'm doing 19 per row for now, but it's close and I expect some shuffling will solve the issue. :)

Wauw! Didn't even know my country had decent chips/plaques

I saw the current Napoleon Games sets (Grand Casino Knokke & Middelkerke IIRC) and figured that kind of stuff was the case for the rest of the country as well, thanks for enlightening me :D

Did you ever checked the numbers on the plaques? I'm what you guys call a single collector. Only one of each is enough. Some collect the #0001 plaques. Nice set. Jo
