So to me these are some of the best feeling chips that I have played with. They’re heavier than most RHC chips and have such a buttery feel to them.. Does anyone know why that is? Maybe the year they were made ? Leaded maybe ?

Any info would be appreciated, thanks....

Honestly wish I knew more but this was exactly what @Ben8257 and I were talking about recently. I have these Caesar 2s I got from @markleteenie and they’re the best I’ve played with. They’re like what you described: heavy, smooth, and have a crispier sound when I shuffle them. They’re also colder to the touch compared to other THCs I have so I can only assume they’re leaded if that’s an attribute at all. Hopefully others here can provide some better insight but just wanted to share my experiences so far (or lack of!)

Thanks, I appreciate it.. I know theres so many knowledgeable chippers on here who can help..
But yes, a really crisp sound to them, and they do have the colder feel, I agree...
Thanks for your input !

I had a small batch of used PCA roulettes and had the same feeling...loved them.
But since I could not expand that small set...I sold them, best RHC's I ever handled.

And wouldn't you know....the Sheraton roulettes from Jim's last sale feel the same....
These are awsome, very heavy, stack a mile high...and still mint.

Have been looking high and low to add some more chips and create a playble touney set.
John (@Meathooke) hooked me up with a barrel of blue in VGC (thanks again mate)
But besides those, I could not find more.... I know why

Yeah the Caesar's $2s shuffle beautifully.
Not sure of the reason, but here's a guess.

I've heard that the mold can make a big difference.

If you ask people who've designed or handled a CPC set, there are definitive preferences/differences in feel for the various molds, and the clay formula should be the same for all of them (in the same created era).

I don't know if there is a weight difference in the CPC chips on different molds

Maybe the Caesar's and Sheraton molds on chips have a different feel? And maybe they could be leaded too?

I can definitely see that. The RHCs tend to feel a little smoother than the THCs I have. House molds feel even better. Then again I only have a limited range to what I’ve felt but it’s been pretty consistent so far with my preferences.

My first set was my grand Vic. roulettes, I had samples of random THC and RHC chips enough to shuffle.

There is something about those grand Vic roulette mold chips that just feels right to me, they seem heavier than new chips, they stack so well.

I rejoined PCF to buy a set of Roadhouse and I did, I got a great set, but I just couldn’t stick with it, I got rid of it and started buying up all the roulette mold chips I could find. My main reason was that even the near bike tire roulette molds I have felt so much more substantial in my hands than the used RHC inlaid,

And yes!! The grand vics are Colder. !!! I know what the feeling is, to me, some chips seem more like cement and that’s what I like.

I’ve also now acquired a big set of THC solids,

What’s up with charcoal color? Anyone notice it seems plastic-Ish compared to everything wlse?

Really? CDI98s $100s are Charcoal, and they are not plasticky at all.

I don’t know, I have 5+ racks of charcoal solids and I love the color, but it seems like they have a resin or something that other chips don’t have, reminds me of the DAYGLO Saturn from CPC also has that resin plastic vibes.

Or maybe it’s just that all these I have are not leaded like all my roulettes.
