Wanted Cash THC set (1 Viewer)

After thinking I was going to just browse, I find myself tempted to add another cash set on my end. So many nice pics and well put together sets that it makes it difficult to say no.

Looking for the following:

1) THC
2) Denoms from 0.25 up to $100 but doesnt have to include 0.25 or 0.50
3) Any decent size cash set of 600-800 chips up to $5,000 (my current threshold) would be a good candidate.

I think a 3k to 5k budget for 600-800 chips will actually net you some very nice sets. You would also likely run into some sweet mixed sets as well. Good luck with your search!

You can build a used THC set for way less than $3000. There are several options for live 1s and 5s that can be obtained for just over face value from a harvester. There are used Jack Cincy $1s on THC for .89 from chiproom. Shouldn’t cost $5 a chip when your workhorse is a $1 or $5 chip. You could even get into leaded options with shapes textured inlays for less than that price. If you are patient.

I also have two barrels of these white hundos that you can kind of see in some of the photos. I paid north of $10k for the set that I still have, but I may be able to break off a $5k set for you if you are interested.

Was unaware that it would actually be good enough for a premium cash set. I will adjust in that case and say that I am willing to pay up to $5k max depending on how much I like it.

I'm ok with them being used as long as they are not beat up. Don't really have a preference between hot stamps, fantasy, etc. Open to options.

Please excuse me for being so vague. I figure I would have more options if I didn't narrow down my criteria. Thank you guys for helping clarify some stuff.

Additionally, the reason why I am not sourcing out a RHC set is because I already have one that I really love that my friend sold me. I used to frequent that casino when visiting family and has sentimental value to me, which is why I like it so much.

Also, like others are saying, there are just so many different factors that go into costs and sets. Leaded/unleaded, color scheme, rarity, shaped, hot-stamps/inlays, casino/fantasy, denominations, condition (ranging from casino used to mint with a lot in between), and so on. If you share some of your tastes, that could be a good start.

Also, @Saoliver's set is awesome and has a good story to it that you should definitely ask about sometime.

That's a matter of taste. And I'm not even sure there's a set there. The $1s seem ready to go. I don't see any THC $5's, unless those reds are still available and can be labled for a third time, back to $5s. But this raises all the other questions @Rieguy raised, about what you're looking for, regarding stakes and breakdowns.
The truth is that so many of the THC sets on this site are mixed sets, so that's an option you need to entertain, and that opens up a world of questions. But an off the rack THC cash set is kind of a rare thing. It's not like RHCs, where we get an entire casino's worth of chips every 6 months or so. So @johnsj12 's patience might be the most important factor.

True. Half of my set isn't THC. Maybe not the best option for what you are looking for @chadthechipper.

Thank you all so far for your feedback. Very helpful. It seems I have been out of the chipping game for many years with a lot to catch up on. I've seen some new chips that have caught my eye and would like to know if any sets, partial sets, or racks are available to purchase from the following:

- Empress Star
- Mixed casino sets, both live and obsolete. Seen very good builds out there by some talented folks

Please disregard the range I originally noted as it seems there can still be some nice sets to be had without paying one month's worth of New York rent haha
