Hosting my 1st cash game in a few weeks. I got a lot of cash chips. Low denomination or micro stakes. 5c 25c $1
Do y’all do like a $10 buy in and allow people to use real money as well or let them buy more chips?

Stick with chips. Playing with cash sucks. Just rebuy with more chips. Just stick with the bigger denoms for the rebuys though.

My philosophy has always been "we buy chips for a reason, use them".

Only reason I'd allow cash to play is when I run out of higher denomination chips to cover the buy-ins. Otherwise, it's all chips all the time.

100% chip, use those chips for sure

Also get at least a table topper and 100% plastic card

Agree with everyone here. Stick to chips on the table as it's easier for other players to eyeball the total stack.

If someone has a large stack they can quickly make the chip to cash conversion, but the bank should get that new buy in converted shortly after. This is helpful when one of the players is also the bank and in the middle of a hand.

Agree with everyone who says stick with chips.

You can use cash as a last resort if you run out of chips, but it's best to avoid cash on the table entirely. Can make for confusion as to stack sizes and whether money is staying on the table.
