After about 40 hours on the felt, I’ve noticed that my 25c, $1, 5$ and some $20 chips feel much different than my $100 chips. The $100 chips have hardly been used and have not seen any action. Do card molds have a break in period? The players at my games shuffle A LOT to the point of it being annoying.

Anyways, the broken in chips feel much better. Now when I shuffle the $100s, they almost feel chalky.

You might be the first to use them that much…I’ve read others stating they thought the chips would get worse/slippery with use. So you’re saying they are better? Are they less slippery?

Yes, I prefer handling the broken in chips more than the chips that haven’t seen any action. They seem to feel and shuffle better. They even sound different. These are Tina Card Molds by the way.

I might be the first the use them this much? My guess is no way. 5 sessions at around 8 hours each session is how I came up with 40 hours. King of card molds prob has me beat.
