Just wondered who the car enthusiasts are on the site.

Cars that I owned that are worth mentioning...

1987 Buick Grand National (bought stock with 12k original miles) SOLD IT
2007 Imperial Blue Chevy Trailblazer SS AWD (485 HP with some upgrades) Traded it
2008 Silver Chevy Trailblazer SS AWD (upgrades were CAI, tuned ECM and PCM, and Corsa exhaust) Traded it

1973 camaro
1980 Chrysler Newport (largest-longest production car in 1980)
1990 honda CRX, restored show car and car audio best of show winner
9 Hondas since (excluding motorcycles)

The 90 CRX was a cool car. We must be around the same age. :)

I given up on Chevy after the last lemon that I had. Made the jump over to Toyota and got a 2011 quad cab Tacoma.

I've gone through cars like I go through poker chips. I'm only 27 but I've had close to 50 cars so far. 18 of them were Dodge Stealth RT-Twin Turbos or Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4's so I won't list all those.

Other notable ones in no particular order:
1971 Plymouth Duster 340 (first car, started saving when I was 12 for it. Bought it before I even had my license) Sold
1969 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 (.040 balanced and blue printed motor, roller cam, roller lifters, edelbrock aluminum heads. 10.5.1 comp ratio- 436 hp in a 2870 pound car in the hands of a 18 year old :). Sold
1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 Sold (bought this one to restore and then my car adhd kicked in so I sold it like 4 weeks after finishing it)
1970 Plymouth Cuda 440-6 Pak Currently being restored (fun fact my dad has the same car but his is a 70 AAR Cuda so its got the small block 340-6 pak motor)
2008 Lancer Owned for 3 days then decided I didn't like it so I returned it and got the 2005 Lancer from the dealer lol
2005 Lancer Evo Sold
1997 Jeep Cherokee 4.5 inch lift 33's onboard air etc- sold
2001 Jeep Cherokee 6 inch lift 35's sold
1978 Dodge Powerwagon. Fully restored by my dad and I. Lifted, 35's, 1970 Big Block 383 with Holley Projection fuel injection
2005 Dodge Magnum RT - Exhaust and intake, nothing too special really. Current car but its up for sale as of a week ago lol

Lots of Dodge Dakota's and Dodge Ram's but nothing super exciting. I'd like my next car to be a Jeep SRT8 but I don't know if that's going to be in the budget for a few more years.

Had a CRX way back. My current car is my dream...2013 Audi RS5

When I was in grade school, my mom had a push button Plymouth Valiant. LOL

91 honda hatch ( caught on fire)
2005 scion xb it was a full blown show car / daily driver
Traded it In
2007 tundra (still have it)
2012 dodge challenger rt still have it

The Tundra in nice. Wish I got one of them instead. Have you seen the 2014 Tundra? They changed the front end, ugly as hell!

67' chevelle was my first car. Paid 500 bucks for it, and ended up parting it out before I got my license. No other notable vehicles to brag about. I will say my 05' f150 that I have had since new is the best vehicle I have every owned or will own.

Currently driving a 2009 Nissan Cube with the CVT. Engine and powertrain are the 1.8 L that Nissan perfected with the Sentra
Before that was a 1995 Dodge Caravan that I put three trannies into and drove into the ground.
Prior to that was a 1989 Dodge Shadow ES with the 2.5L turbo. Great car that was sadly ruined by an accident 6 mos. after I got it. If they had not "missed" the bent drive shaft, it would have been written off, and I would have had a brand new car. That one still pisses me off, and it's been almost 25 years.
Before that I owned a 1985 Pontiac Acadian. Shitty little 4-banger that I drove like a go-kart. Lots of fun to play around with.
First car I bought used off my old man . . . 1981 AMC Concorde (basically a gussied up Hornet). Only nice thing about that car was the interior and the 258 straight six.

Uh-oh -- just found this car in Seattle. Shiny and perfect. There may be a massive sale of poker chips soon, followed by a cold drive back to Florida... :cool

Just read the news about the 2020 Audi RS6 Avant...I might be right behind you in the sales thread Larry...it’s my dream wagon.

I’m not a car collector or even an enthusiast per se, but I’ve had a few vehicles of possible interest, including:

* A 1966 Mercury Parklane. This car was an absolute boat... The perfect drive-in movie car: Long, deep bench seats with no obstructions. “Breezeway” windows with no dividing bar. A huge hood and trunk.

* Currently, a custom-built Brute Double Cab, which is a Jeep Rubicon lifted and converted to a pickup. (The new Jeep Gladiator is a knock-off of the design.) I wouldn’t have such a monster truck but I need it to navigate about 5 miles of trails on my land where I have a forestry project.

I've never had an interesting car. But when I was a kid my parents had a '66 Mustang which I have never forgiven them for selling. Someday I'll own one myself.

I had a 1972 Corvette with T Tops when I was 16. My first car. Got rear ended in the rain on a highway that sent me into the concrete wall on the shoulder. The Vette was mostly destroyed, frame damage, etc. My dad and I walked a way with a cut on his finger and nothing else.

www.bringatrailer.com is pretty much the equivalent website to PCF.

86 Plymouth Laser
85 Honda Prelude (LOVED IT SO MUCH)
91 Acura Integra GS
02 Nissan Xterra SE SC (had this for almost 10 years now. A tank.

Cars I have owned, ridden hard, and mostly put away wet.
-1996 Taurus Wagon (Green). Total POS and the reason I will never buy a ford car. Ever. Things that broke include the power steering (twice), transmission, windows, heat, ac. Also it was water resistant but not water proof.

-2004 Acura TSX manual transmission. My first new car. Loved it. Bought it without knowing how to drive manual and after 200,000 ish miles many who rode with me claimed I never learned. I miss that car even though commuting on the beltway in it gave me sciatica.

-2014ish Toyota Tundra. It has the turd off-road package. Love having a pickup and will always own one from now on. This beast just runs. My wife claims the interior is a crime scene but you have to keep in mind my wife is very judgemenatal and also does not eat lunch in her vehicle.

Hmmm -- can't believe I didn't post in this thread six years ago. Finding the above Caterham just made me do a search...

Being an old fart, I've had a lot of cars. I'm shopping for my retirement car right now. Had hoped to order a Lotus Super Seven clone some months ago from Brian Anderson at World Championship Motorsports in Lancaster TX, and pick it up when we came out to the Alamo meet-up, but they had the temerity to go out of business. :( So it's back to the drawing board for the retirement car.

I've probably left out a few, as well as all the trucks/vans for trailering the race cars (Wells Cargo 24' trailer) and my first wife's eventing/dressage horses.

So I guess I've always been a car (and bike) guy... :cool :cool :cool

At heart I am a Camaro guy.

I've had:
- 81 Canaro, custom with 406 SBC
- 88 Camaro, v6 but with a 5 speed manual a good daily driver
- 96 z28 /w a lot of customizations (headers, tune, etc) and 6 speed manual

Also had a 77 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, a tank that drank gas, but it sure was a luxurious car that really moved once it got going.

I had to get rid of the z28 when I had my 1st child as it wasnt reliable enough, currently have a 2011 Charger as it was the closest I could get to a fun car with 4 doors (just a few mods with 94 octane tune, and some electronic updates).

I think my next car will likely be electric, but wont be for a while as my wife is due for the next car upgrade.

Hmmmmm...had a few of these...
