After many years of designing, collaborating, and waiting, the Capital Room 2.0 chips have finally been completed

cr3_cash_mock.jpg

This set was modeled after the original BCC Capital Room set, a set I fell in love with many years ago and had the great opportunity to purchase from the original creator (chiptalk member Joshua Dalton). We both share the same name and have maintained loose contact over the years, and I promised to uphold the artwork and continue with the designs. Josh's original set was truly defined with a rack of 50mm no mold $100s, only one rack of which was ever made.

I split off a set or two over the years but this is still the core of the originals. Both the $2 and the $500 share the same chip and were a later add on from the original buy.

Originally, this set was designed and planned for GPI back in 2018 - the extensive color palete would truly have allowed the chips to shine. Alas those designs were ultimately shelved and I went to work trying to redesign using the very limited cpc palete. It was truly a challenge scaling back with both color selection and spot patterns, but overall I'm really happy with how the set turned out. Of course there are some things I could nitpick but for the sake of this showcase I will save that commentary for another time.

The basis of the set is still quite thirsty and haven't been touched/oiled but I hope you enjoy the pr0n

Special shout outs to @jbutler and @Mr Tree for all their input and help along the way, including the encouragment to pull the trigger with CPC on the S Crown mold

Special shoutout to @Johnny5 for all the help and truly marvelous designs

Very, very nice Josh.

Oh my days, these are stunning! That fiver is absolutely killer.

Question on the fracs, as I'm not sure if it's the lighting: is it just two different colours used on the edge spots? Or are the two shades of red ever so slightly different?

Wow! What a great reboot of one of my favorite BCC’s! You really optimized the palette with those brilliant color choices thus making it your own.

Count me in should there be a sample set thread and again, amazing chips.

Different shades. One of the many compromises that were forced with the available CPC colors. I'll post an update to the thread with the individual chip information and breakdown

Ayo! Gorgeous. If these are in Atlanta, let me swing by to see them? Aspiring to a custom clay set eventually and want to prove to myself they're worth the thousands

Great job man! Kept the same feel as the originals but different enough to make it your own.

Favorite = $500

Beauties Josh! Can’t wait to come over and ship my first installments on them.

I missed this somehow. Wow. There are many here that appreciate Cali sets way more than I do, but even I have to admit that $5 is an absolute show stopper. Dayglo Yellow really shines on scrown imo. Almost a different color than when it’s on other molds. Well done!
