Can you guys help me determine if these are new or not? (1 Viewer)

Yeah sorry I wasn't attempting to represent that these were supposed to be completely new, but given the simple statement that they stacked up well next to new chips was good enough for me if they did. They do not, so I'm hoping that I can just return these without an issue

The pictures definitely don't show new/mint chips.

I would say the term excellent is a bit of a stretch. Those are good used condition chips. Edges look square but definitely not sharp.

Although I see the term new/mint used way too loosely on PCF and especially the classified.

Back in the day new/mint actually meant that - dead mint chalky chips that have never seen felt time.

Now you see people describing chips as mint that have been played with and been handled alot.

Were these chips the ones that came in those barrels/drums? If so, I'd say exactly zero of any of those chips should ever be described as mint. Having chips being dumped haphazardly into drums disqualifies those as being mint.

The statement described seems accurate representation... Apache didn’t sell any mint uncirculated 100’s from what I’m aware of so you got VGC chips from Apache unless when you purchased from Apache that it said mint uncirculated. TBH most of the used primary’s are in pretty good condition for casino used chips. Looking at the barrels side by side they look the same condition to me.

I'm not talkin about the condition of what I bought from Apache. I'm saying that I purchased chips that were supposed to be in excellent condition and they showed up looking like Apache chips, if not worse

did you not see photos of the chips before you bought them?
