Has anyone ever seen these Chips. The Camelot Marina was a place that was supposed to open in the early 80s and Merv Griffen was supposed to be the President or something. But it never did because of financial reasons. I think it was supposed to be where the Trump Marina was and where the Golden Nugget is now. The Chip Guide say these chips below were Fantasy Chips made by a Souvenir Shop in Vegas. Was it Spinettis, Apache, or someone else on here? I know they are not a Souvenir shops, but I can't think of anyone else. I would be interested to know how many of these chips got made. I also didn't see a $5 which was missing from the CG. Thanks.

Yeah, I have a few of the murdered lakeshore ones, they look like the inlays were milled out and relabeled...tragic

I’ve got some too, and I would agree with the others that it appears as if they were milled Lakeshores. I am not condoning murder, but these are still beautiful even after the mutilation.

Is/was Camelot a real casino?

Or was it just a random guy that did it with a custom inlay.

Either way it's a butt ugly design.

Camelot was going to be real and blanks & inlays were already made up for it, but not everything was assembled when word came that it wouldn’t go forward. The blanks were then used for Lakeshore. This is similar to how the Grand Casino Hinkley blanks were used for home sets after some of the initial chips were assembled with incorrect inlays.

Some Camelot chips appear to have indeed been factory-assembled, and others look to be repops. I don’t know for sure if the latter is true as I haven’t attempted to remove the inlay on those and I’m unwilling to destroy the one I have.

Wish I could find some of these in quantity somewhere, I’d make a proper Cali set out of em haha
