Anybody who has been around here a while knows I'm an inlaid frac chip guy, clay only. My fascination with them is that most of them cost the casino more than the value they represent. They are excessive, but in a fun way. There is no way the Embassy Club 5c chip cost less than five cents to order. There is no way the Detroit casinos pay less than twenty-five cents for each of their live 25c chips. Inlaid clay frac chips have disappeared from almost every modern casino unless mandated by a gaming board (hello Missouri).

So I finally got one of those big display cases after my last batch of classifieds sold. I have bills to pay, but I splurged only a little, and my single chips deserve NOT to be in a box, but out where they can breathe and be seen! Of all the states, I think the totality of inlaid clay Cali fracs is my favorite. Nevada is just too expensive. If this chip came to market:

I would expect it to be $2500 or more. This guy can't pay that. Like ever.

So here's some Cali fracs for you today. I got lucky and caught a big time collector on his way out, which is where a lot of these came from. I'm still missing seven, of which I have only ever seen one for sale in the last three years (It was $160). There's every color, a decent amount of spot patterns (even a bear claw), solids, and at least ten chip molds represented here (RHC, THC, Large Greek Key, Bird Suits, Small Crown, Large Crown, House Mold, HHL, L Mold, A Mold, square square rectangle, etc).

Oh man there is a few groups on Facebook where I just passed on a ton of single fracks. Nice display. I’ll keep my eyes open for the el Cortez!

Very nice! What's the 1st 10c chip? I see that one, the Club 88, the wagon, and the Outpost Pacheco. Any other Paulson dimes?

I'd eat a few bites of a sock if any of them was one of the 8 that I'm missing (7 Cali, 1 Washington). They just don't come up, like ever.

These are cool, I'd take 2 racks of that yellow rock casino .50
Nice collection

I'm curious which ones are missing. That's impressive you were even able to find a list of everything.
Assuming the mogh chipguide is complete, that's where I do my research. If there are a few stray non-Nevada chips that I missed because chipguide does not have them either, it would not surprise me, and it would probably be a California or Washington chip if so.

Eleven fracs and my life is complete (7 Cali):

If I ever find all these (yeah right), I'd probably go after the 15 Cali Gardena frac chips that I'm not collecting. But they are exactly the same as Rainbow and Embassy, just from Horseshoe (3), Normandie (6), Monterey (3), and Gardena Club (3).

I don't particularly like posting this list, but I have deep pockets for these eleven chips only and no other collectible, not a board game or set of poker chips or other singles. So I can probably outbid or outspend some carpetbagging jack wagon who sees them and decides he wants these singles now. Especially the Playboy Club London small crown. I have the 10 shilling Playboy Club London, it is the most common. Spragg tells me that the 5 shilling does not pop up often and is $$$ when it does. (Or £££ I should say)

There is a rumor that these two chips exist.

But I have never seen them and they are not in chipguide. I've got my eyes peeled of course. There is also a rumor of a green Landmark Inn 10c chip. So even if I had a complete collection, chances are it is not 100% complete, just 100% complete as far as I know.

Cool thread. Pretty sure the Condor is my favorite quarter. Not the flashiest but the inlay is awesome. Really love the California Club quarter as well.

So I'm told that two of the California Club black 50c chips are known to exist.

Which means I will probably never have one. But you never know!
