Trying to put together a fairly inexpensive cpc-set with cali colors. Would really appreciate some feedback. I have been going back and forth a lot, especially with the black or butterscotch 20, but anything’s up for debate. Dunno know for sure about the mold, will have to get mold samples. Thanks!

inexpensive and CPC in one sentence :D - just kidding. I like option #4 best ... the bright white chip looks great. Butterscotch with any sort of chocolate is always a good comination.

Well, it’s all relative I guess :). I really like that combo as well, my concern with that option is that I feel it might have too much bright white. Not sure it would be an issue

Just to clarify: ”inexpensive” as far as cpc-designs go. I’m well aware this is a $1500-set with a decent breakdown :)

Not only mold but color samples too (unless you already have them). The difference between screen and clay is night and day. Oh, and I'm a poet it seems!

Very beautiful :). @HMK was kind enough to lend me his sample-set

I can lend you the mold set if you want.

[Edit: but with $23 shipped for new ones, it might not be worth it unless I can get them to you in person]

I like nr 4. Any ideas for inlay? Kr as currency? :)

Don’t know yet if I will use ”Kr”, ”SEK” or nothing at all. I’m really into red wine, especially Italian and especially from Chianti. Haven’t decided on a name but for design I’m thinking something like this:

California has a great wine industry as well. Make the theme a fictional Cali winery with a poker room or something along those lines.

That’s true and that’s a great idea, thanks! (But I’m not drinking any fucking Merlot!)

I would say
-Value 1 Blue: the 312 (as in sets 2 to 5)
-Value 5 Yellow: the 3D14 (as in set 1)
-Value 20 Black: (as in sets 1and 2).
-Value 100 White: 6A14 but with light blue instead of purple
-Value 500 Purple: as in sets 2 to 5

Don't use currency symbols. The world is a very tough place for currencies, if they're not the USD or the CHF.

A wine-maker label is a good, matching idea.

So this: (I like it!). And I agree about the no currency symbol.

What are you talking about? I get lots of kr for every dollar. More and more every other day it seems.

While we’re on the subject. I have an idea for breakdown which I’m sure can improve with some insight from you guys. So keep in mind 2/4 NLH and PLO. Buy-ins usually 1000 and we’re 6-7 players. No crazy game but there will be re-buys. Perhaps a bit less than one extra buy-in/person on average.

I’m thinking a 600 pc set with a bank of 19 760:

1s - 160
5s - 240
20s - 120
100s - 60
500s -20

I think your true main workhorse chip is the 20 (the 5 is already a blinds chip).
So, I 'd make 160x5s and 200x20s, which also gives you some more bank, in case the game grows somewhat.

I really like lots of 5s though. Maybe 200x5s and 160x20s. Or maybe I should go with a 700 pc :nailbite:

You’re definitely right about making it more future proof.

What about this spot pattern for the 1? It will help give the set a little more variety and it only level 2 so still affordable.

With 700 pc maybe I could go:

1 - 160
5 - 240
20 - 200
100 - 70
500 - 30

Bank: 27360

Or:

100 - 60
500 - 40

Bank: 31 360

I like @Rhodeman77 's idea about the 1.
The 500 has to stay purple, or you 'll have to radically re-think the spot colours for the 100 (in your second scenario above they share exactly all of their colors, which would make dirty stacks, or a pink, white and light blue salad.:)

In keeping with the spot progression, I think the last chip would look great with two spot colors. I was just playing around with ideas and landed on this.

That’s certainly true. Luckily I prefer the purple over the pink :)
