I have had time to oil the chips and take some more pictures.

Beautiful! Love the inlay designs and the thinking behind matching each one to a specific theme with the chip colours.

Can't help but notice the split purple edges on a few of those $25s...

Thanks. I noticed them as well. It is annoying, but not like the $1’s. I can deal with the $25’s.

As any married chipper would know, I have to sneak them past my wife into the basement so she doesn’t give a ton of shit for yet another set of chips. :nailbite:

This.

I still don't know how I'm going to slip my two sets that I'm expecting this month past. She does know that I ordered one of them though, but not the other :nailbite:

I knew I had to sign for my cpc package and it just so happened to be a day we were both working from home. So early in the day I taped up and hid a dummy package and placed it in the garage. My plan was to sign for the package then leave the chips in the garage and walk in with the fake package which contained a few cheap chip trays. I'd then grab the chips at a later point when she wasn't looking.

It's crazy the shit we do for chips.

The split spots only serve as a beautiful reminder that these chips are made by hand on machinery that's a hundred years old.

A thing isn't wonderful because it's perfect....

Up to a point. Then you expect that $3 a chip gets you quality whether it's machined or made by hand.

Ok, then....the split spots are a complimentary security feature. :cool

Perspective:

I just got my own set this week with some higher level spots and yes, there were splits.

oiled the new chips. A few more pics. I need to clear the poker table to get some full set pics still. I tried to use natural lighting, but it is very overcast right now.
