Looking to buy 500 poker chip set in Australian currency , can’t buy 25c chips only 20c chips so want my home game to be $20 buy in 20/40c blinds , what chip distribution would you do across the 500 chips and then across each player

I don’t think you even need 500 chips for a single table home game but:

200x .20, 200x 1, 100x 5

10 max 20x .20 each is 4 then 16x 1 each to make 20. You’d have 40 in 1s left in the bank plus 100x 5 for plenty of rebuys or bigger buy ins.

I'm making a few assumptions. Assuming single table and 10 players max, you need a minimum of 150 20c and 120 $1 for an enjoyable and playable set. You might be able to get away with 100 20c if you can tolerate the change making, but 150 is a safer minimum. Assuming you want multiples of 20's to make it easier to count with plastic racks, here's one sample breakdown:

160 20c
160 $1
120 $5
60 $20
Total Quantity: 500
Total Bank: $1992

If 500 isn't a limiting factor, you can be more flexible and add more $1s and $5s.

Your assumptions would be spot on, what chip distribution per player would you give with that 500 stack and a $20 buy in. it looks really good and gives people the option to flex the $5 or $20 chips if there on fire. Thankyou
