Measure out 21" as the tables gonna be 42" wide, remember measure twice cut once!

Measure inside of rail, in this table im doing a 6" rail. I like a nice beefy rail.

Cut out lip and screw lip onto each rail piece, dry fit together.

Clamp table together and install the tnuts (or threaded inserts)

Dry fit table back together and use the connector bolts to clamp the rail together. Round off the sharp edges with a router and round over bit.

Now onto the upholstery

Lay your foam on the ground, spray rail with heavy duty spray adhesive, making sure to tape the holes on top of the rail with duct tape or the like. Once really tacky, flip the rail and lay on top of the foam. Mark out around the edge of the foam for cutting. Using an electric carving knife cut around foam both outside and in

Foamed rail complete!
