I just picked up a set of these Bud Jones Noble Games chips. Edges are still pretty bright but a lot of them have faded faces. A few are really bad where the face of a blue Chip is almost completely white.

Has anyone seen this before and found a remedy? I wet one a bit and the color seemed to come back but then faded to white again as soon as dry. I tried to use a small amount of rubbing alcohol to clean any gunk on the chip that could be making it appear white and again, while wet with alcohol, the chip was blue but then straight back to white once cleaned.

Is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm wondering if oiling may help but seems quite counterintuitive to oil a plastic chip.

I've included some photos of my attempts to fix one.

My red double down Paulson chips faded when I washed them. Oil helped but the fading kinda returns after a year or so. Light oil helps again. I’d try mineral oil but remember less is more.
