Just killing time at work :)...
I've always liked the first issue Blue Chip Casino chips. (not the $5 so much so I did it a little different.

Nice mock-ups, although I think they'd look a lot better on the diamond-B mold. I always thought that original Blue Chip $5 should have had a hub faux-shaped inlay design....

These would be stellar on the dia-B with real shaped inlays, although I might swap the two reds for a slightly lighter chip base on the $5 Might even do Mandarin base with Retro spot..

Agreed on the red comment, search for Toby black cat club chip on the diecard mold. He used a half pie red/man red combo and the difference is so slight on the faces it's hard to tell which is which

I thought the red on red might be tough to see. I'll mess around with it some more.

Hmmmm..... a Blue Diamond logo..... on the diamond B mold..... I'd be interested in a group buy set.

Got any pics of Blue Chip $500s or $1000s ?

Edit: found it....

And don't forget about this one - perfect candidate for 1/4-pie (also explains the $5 w/o hub):

No photo of a first issue $500 on ChipGuide. Here is a $500 based on a later issue. No photos of any $1ks. They might not have any.

Quarter pie the $1K or NCV or bounty? I like that orange spot on the $5. :) I would like to find out if they have a $1K chip.

I don't think a 1K chip was/is in the rack. Indiana casinos have orange $1000 chips (those that do have a $1K, not all do), and most of them are 8V on the IHC mold. I'm working on a suitable fantasy orange $1K for this set, that won't clash with the $500 (and won't have 8V spots, obv.). I like the Beltera $1000 chip colors, and may use it for inspiration with different spots.

I figure the quarter-pie could be a no-denom chip and serve as a 5c, $5000, or bounty chip, or even as a $2.50 chip, if somebody wanted to run a pink chip game (see my updated post before your purple chip post). Did you notice the oversize inlay on the $500?

And yeah, I'm not impressed at all with the original BC $5, and I think mine is tons better than theirs. But the $5 chip could be drastically improved by moving away from the original's colors (and maybe spot config, too). I do like your orange spot,.

Here is another version of the $100. Closer but I like one we have now.

That looks pretty damn good.

For what the base of the $1? I thought about that but it is a non-weighted color.

I'd be more concerned about color "contamination/imperfection" than the weighted/non-weighted issue. David has mentioned several times that bright white is difficult to work with because even the smallest speck of another color sticks out like a sore thumb.

I just saw this on the CPC website...

Bright White is inherently difficult to work with as it gets contaminated so easily. It carries a premium of 50c a chip, regardless of chip style, for either body or spot color. Bright White edge spots with slight impurities are available for no premium.

Guess you can pay to have it perfect.

There's still a limit to perfect. My biggest issue with bright white is color transfer. If you have a dark spot it can leave a color transfer on the white area when shuffled. I've found this on my bounty chips, but I'd still go the same route if I did it again.

I'm working a 16 hr shift tonight....just staying busy. :)
I do like the B-Diamonds mold but a 7/8 inlay just fits with no room for error. A-Crest mold has a little play. Just temp photochopped inlays. :D

Not sure on the $1, $5, or $100. Feedback?

$5k? Maybe switch the spot pattern with $1k?

Hmmm..... no, I think I'd leave the spot patterns as-is. Your 414418 works fine as the next chip in the line-up, imo. I really like the gray with retro lav, but might play around with something besides blue for the 1/4" spots, to give it a little more distance color-wise from the $500 chip.

I'm also okay with using the no-denom pink chip as $5000 (or 5c, or $2.50, or even 50c). The 1/4-pie works well in several spots in the line-up, and it's also a clone of one of the original chips.
