Do you let your chip packages come up to room temperature before opening them?

Do you let your chip packages come up to room temperature before opening?

With guitars I always do, as the sudden change in temp can be bad for wood and finishes. Likewise with electronics of any kind, do avoid condensation on sensitive parts.

Can the sudden change in temperature cause issues with chips?
 
At least 3 months out of 12, the problem presents itself in southern and coastal Greece the other way round:
Bring your chips in from the scorching heat into an air-conditioned or nicely ventilated room:D
