I hold an annual (extended) weekend of cash games and a main event bounty tournament that includes catered BBQ and kegs. Info is included here - you can lock up a seat by replying here or PMing me. This coincides with the first 3-4 days of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, so the games are on TV and there is a fair amount of college bball talk and gambling as well (about half the people engage in that, and the other half is just focused on the food, poker, drink, and table conversation). Always a fun weekend, always a good crowd, and some good poker to boot.

General plan of events:

VENUE: Dover, NH - PM bergs or Chicken Rob for exact address; MHT is the preferred airport, BOS will also work with a 45-90 min drive

WED 3/18:
6:00pm - The Cleanup Spectator Sport: We all watch Jose clean up Chicken's place
7:30pm - THE PREGAME PARTY GAME -- 25c/50c Circus Game, $125 max
** Bottled beer and liquor available...no keg beer until Thursday AM **

If you're flying in Wednesday, this will be a loose and fun game.

THURS 3/19:
11:30am - "Berg's Locks" - College B-Ball Picks Available
11:45am - Annual Celebratory Tapping of the Kegs (actually tapping the kegs - not a euphemism for something else)
11:45am - Cold Brewed Crack Coffee available -> excellent with Bailey's and addictive as crack (so I hear)
12:00pm - THE WARMUP GAME - 25c/50c $125 Max; NL+PLO; featuring a guest chipset
6:00pm - ABBY99'S TABLE (Table 2) - $4/8 Mixed Limit Games

FRI 3/20:
10:30am - The Hangover Breakfast @ The Wooden Spoon
11:30am - "Berg's Locks" - College B-Ball Picks Available
12:00pm (till Close) - THE DAILY GRIND - (Table 1) 25c/50c NLHE + PLO with Truman's House chips
6:00pm - THE BIG GAME (Table 2) - $1/1 Circus Games

SAT 3/21:
10:30am - The Hangover Breakfast at the Wooden Spoon
11:30am - "Berg's Locks" - College B-Ball Picks Available
12:00pm (till Close) - THE DAILY GRIND - 25c/50c NLHE + PLO with Truman's House chips
12:00pm - 2nd Annual SOHE World Championship Tournament ($20, Dunes Paulson Cash chips, features the engraved SOHE SKUNK trophy)
4:00pm - Catered BBQ (Pulled Pork, Beef Brisket, Ribs, Smashed Potatoes, Coleslaw, Deviled Eggs)
5:00pm - 5th Annual Bounty Battle on the Border Main Event Tournament (with engraved trophies) - $140 ($100 for prize pool, $20 bounty, $20 food) - re-entry once in first 3 levels
Post-tourney - ALL CASH EVERYTHING -25c/50c NLHE+PLO & $1/1 Big Game (uncapped with Dealer) - all with Truman's House custom chips

SUN 3/22:
10:30am - THE SHUTDOWN - we kick everyone out and let Chicken Rob sleep until Wednesday

BOS airport has better public transport. Trains and busses run from BOS to dover. MHT is more pleasant, but you'll need a car rental. It's closer.

One of my favorite parts of the trip is riding the train in from Boston. I may consider flying in to NYC for a longer trip, or even Maine.

HQ, don't you have a free suite named after you at Portsmouth HoJo following that big tourney win? Just limo from there. That's usually how I roll for New England games.

My reign only extends through Maine. I can't go outside as the horse gets too tired.

I just read your profile here and saw your biography. You get more milk from the Maine ASM cow than anyone thought possible. I should point out here that I hold BOTH a World Series of Clinton (WSOC) championship and am the reigning DCS3 champion.

If you don't want to hear about it. Then you shouldn't have let me win.

I wasn't at the tournament. If I'm there you don't win (because I convince you to do $100 flips instead).

Chicken, is Bond in for this? Best service eva. At least the best service my wife would approve...

Can the SOHE entry fee be bumped to $60? I think that is the right amount for everyone.

Anyone needing a ride from Boston to NH in the afternoon Friday or Saturday, let me know. This is the best weekend of the year bar none.

He has agreed to all 3 events here, but only made it to 1.5 Illness/girlfriend interference. He's always up for it in theory...

He has said he wants to do it again, we'll see what happens.

Phase 1 of basement renovation started this morning.

I decided I was going to start playing some limit games, so I bought up a bunch of NobleCountyDanny's Aces. I will have 2200 $2s and a rack of $100s if you need them

I thought this was aimed at Noelsarchs post above, where he was offering up a ride.... still somewhat apropos

ChickenRob recently described himself as a "total baller," and so I expect the coop to look nice. Not NH-standard nice, but nice.

Bergs, everything looking good. SOHE tourney will be done in 25 minutes.

OK, by total baller, I meant that with all the inflection that connotes irony. I would describe my house as "upscale squalor". You should expect indoor plumbing, and leftover furniture from grad school.

Need to set expectation appropriately.

I won't be able to make it this year. I have an event that I have to be present for Friday night. The "good" news is, I am in charge of the event next year, and I will make sure it isn't scheduled on the 1st week of March Madness. Until then, I will have to live vicariously through the other Marylanders arriving at noon, sharp!

Bummed you can't make it Krafty. Glad to see you taking control for the future though.

Need to put this one out there. I'd like to limit the main circus game (1/1) to 8-max. I'd prefer 7. A meetup without sohe is just wrong. We waited too long to play sohe at courage's because of all the people.

Also, we need to establish how many dealers that we should get. The main circus game will be professionally dealt. Are others interested in exchanging tips for pro dealing?

Any thoughts on these topics?

I agree with 8-max for the $1/1 circus game. We can still play SOHE - dealer sits out. Full table is eligible for all other games. Other tables can spread $1/1 as well so it's not like we're being exclusionary with the circus game. I think we need to have at least one dealer for at Friday & Saturday from 5pm on - we can figure out the rest when we get closer. Unfortunately we lack a local proper casino to pull from like Courage.

there's a possibility i could bring a pro dealer (or two if needed) who could play during the day in the kiddie games then deal the $1/1 games in the evening time. i always got the impression there were a few available local dealers from home games up there, though.
