I just received some new Chippo Racks. I was surprised to see minor scuffs on all of them. As I am new to this hobby I thought I would ask the hive if this is normal before I tried to return them. I don't want to name vendors except to say they are reliable and trusted by the community which leads me to this some scuffs may be normal.

Thank you for your input.

Have you considered maybe forgetting about it and moving on with your life? It's just plastic.

Minor scuffing is to be expected on racks. Remember that casinos and suppliers don’t care about chip racks. They usually aren’t packed super well either. Broken or chipped is no good, but all of my “new” racks have wear and minor scratches on them from using them.

No need to be so negative. OP notes he is new to the hobby and is just asking a question.

Scuffs are ok. What you should do, however, is look for extra flash (the tiny amount of extra plastic from the mold) on the inside of the rack. Sometimes there’s a sharp bit that you’ll want to remove before loading up the chips.

also, there’s often a small nub on the bottom center of the rack that can stick out, possibly causing issues on the chips if you stack them.

I understand your point, and I certainly could have been nicer to a new member. But, I think my answer probably should be used more when people start threads to complain about some minor way in which they feel they've been wronged.
