I had a blackjack and roulette tourney the other week with people switching tables every hour for 4 hours. rebuys and add on's were available and everyone had fun.
The biggest headache was all the chip sorting on the roulette table. At times there were piles to sort thru. Does anyone have any advice to make that easier? I thought of only capping the inside bets with a roulette chip and the other chips below it cash chips. That got a little confusing after a few beers though lol. Chip sorters are ridiculous $.

Are the roulettes assigned different values based on players stakes?
not yet. But that's a good idea to limit the amount of chips on the table.
Some people just want every damn number haha.

I was also thinking of rounding up and down the payouts to even 5's but that could cause some odd's discrepincies. The payouts get a little hectic too if a few people hit inside.

Get some help. Sometimes at my fundraising parties I'll have a second dealer at the table dedicated to chips sorting and stacking, while the other dealer doing payouts and the wheel. Otherwise it's just practice. It can get hectic with 6-7 players. Make sure you can get maximum spin time with the pill, gives you a bit of extra clean up time. Full size wheels have an advantage here.

Hire a chip mucker!! Thats the worst job in the casino! The best way to do it is make sure all the chips are laid out flat then pluck them one at a time with both hands. Once to have about ten or eleven in each hand put the two stacks together. Kick out the extra or grab one or two more if needed to get a full stack of 20. You'll get a feel pretty quick on what a stack of 20 feels like. I know it doesn't seem like it but it actually takes longer to save the short stacks (8 chips or less) of the same color. YouTube chip mucking, it will make more sense watching how the professionals do it. Then just practice practice practice. It's not much fun but it does get easier!

Also, a litte tip on your bj rack. Put you high denominations in the middle of the rack and the smaller ones to the outside. If I were at fist base on your table it would be super tempting to grab out a $500 when you were paying third base! If it were only a $1 chip there wouldn't be much to gain but a $500 might be worth the risk for some! Here's how a chip rack should be set up.
