Biggest Chip Set (3 Viewers)

I'm sorry... did I find the Testosterone Thread? Am I in the right place?

At this point, can we can all just agree that Racer Mike and JCFJ are the two BSOCs (Big Studs on Campus)?

Wow... such NICE chips, and SO MANY of them! Great stuff, guys.

The Club Courage HHR cash set is one of the most awesome sets in my book. I've had the pleasure of donating while playing with those chips twice... I can never decide which chip is my favorite, between the $1 and the $5.

had long post, gotta fix the formatting...will be back. BTW, is there a "Preview" button for a post before actually hitting "post"? I find that very useful. Thanks

Waaay back I had over 3,000 Chipco Classics, 3K+ Pharaohs & 5K plaques, nearly 4K 2005 WSOP replicas

Jim at the Chiproom put a trance on me and got me hooked on PCA's & Hwy 9's (9's from a Casino near me)

The sickness finally peaked with a decent set of Crystal Parks

After Chip rehab (came to my senses) -- sold off most. Have some CP's, DP's, Pharaohs, Tikis and a custom ceramic set never posted (someday maybe).

Sorry for the long post -- fun looking back. If this is too much Tommy, just tell me and I'll delete a bunch...no problem

Wow... Those PCAs are my second favorite photo in the bunch. Beautiful.

This is one GB that I now regret not getting in on. The way I had been treated by BCC and the way things were going with them at the time scared me off. I had already been bitten once and didn't want to again.

It stings every time I see pics like these knowing I don't have a set in my vault.

I think that's the perfect description for many of us.

My biggest Paulson set is the Dunes, but my ASM set is bigger.

ASM Customs (Truman's House) - 200 nickels, 400 quarters, 1300 $1s, 900 $5s, 200 $25s, 100 $100s (total # of chips = 3100; total bank = just under $20K)
Dunes Paulson (Tourney) - 260 $25s, 230 $100s, 125 $500s, 80 $1000s, 55 $5000s (43mm) - enough for a 45 person 10K tournament - 750 total chips
Dunes Paulson (Cash) - 100 $1s, 500 $5s, 240 $20s (43mm), 60 $100s (43mm), 3 $500s (43mm) - total # of chips = 903; total bank = just under $15K)

I have an incomplete PNY set with 200 Paulson hotstamp PNY quarters, 600 $5s, 400 $25s, and 20 $100s. I need 2 racks of $1s to make it playable.

None of my sets are really huge; I just have a bunch of 'em. :D

Excluding really old chips that never see play (2825 Prestige Pro, 3240 Las Vegas Pro), my biggest sets are:

20th Century - 2143 chips (Paulson, THC)
Grand Championship of Poker - 1539 chips (Blue Chip, TFP)
Empress Casino - 1489 (Paulson THC)
Oak Tree Casino - 1324 chips (Paulson, RHC)
Grand Casino Biloxi - 1217 chips (Paulson, THC hot-stamps)
President Casino Admiral - 1184 chips (Paulson, THC)

Also have 1000+ chip sets of Casablanca Casino, Casino Aztar (MO), Casino Aztar (IN), Par-A-Dice Casino, Starlite Casino, and Grand Cardroom hot-stamped Paulsons.

Oh wow, you scored some of those Starlites? Nice!

If I had to pick ONE pic of all the chips I've ever seen bud, this is #1 or #2. It's also on my top ten regret list (not following through with my purchase of a set). Simply beautiful.

It was a true gamble. We can but hope future brings something equal to us some day. One can never tell.

It was a true gamble.

True. But after getting screwed by BCC on the Grand Card Room solid hotstamp chips, it was a gamble I was unwilling to take. I sure do envy those of you you took it those500, 1K, and 5K chips, though!

I feel so inferior international shipping costs so much...

Grand Victoria Primaries:

OMG....
My wife tells me that I'm sick .... :D

Played with all of them over time. Most of the MONSTER sets I used for a tournament I run for a buddy who lost his son to cancer. The first year we started with 80-some-odd players, using the 2005 WSOP replicas and the starting stacks were about $80,000 -- EACH person. It was awesome at the final table as players were betting into the millions. Love the big stacks. I tried to rotate the type of chips I used each year (aka excuse to spend $ on chips). However, at this point, for the past few years I use a custom set of ceramics I had made -- so slowly I've sold off a ton of the other chips/sets.

But yeah, all the sets I've owned I've played either during my monthly game or at various fund raisers I've hosted. Still have the addiction, but it's controlled now. For example I limited my purchase of the latest WSOP replicas (China Clays) to less than 2,000 chips! :)

So for you that's the same as not having really ordered any.

OMG !! Wonderful ... the solids are from "holdempokerchips" (T-mold custom) ?
