Waiting List
Hey guys, been lurking for a little while now after seeing PCF get mentioned over in the wastelands of r/poker and finally decided to sign on up a week ago or so. Started playing cards on a deployment in the Navy, the guys in my shop did $5 sit-n-go's almost every night and I played every night that I could. Came home from the navy to start college, and one of my good friends mentions he was interested in getting a game going. Year later now and we have a somewhat-thriving weekly .05/.10 cash game. Always a great time but also always tough to get a game going, we've gone 8 or 9 handed a time or two but most of the time it's just 4 or 5 of the regulars and maybe 1 or 2 of the semi-regulars. Also the occasional girlfriend or dad "celebrity guest." Hoping to make some friends at school next semester that might be interested and grow our player pool a little. Only play NLHE, tried a hand of PLO once and I thought brains were going to melt, I'll try it again sometime though. Interested in learning more about some other games I'm always seeing mentioned.
Played with dice chips, upgraded to a set of Dunes CCs (so much better) and have a sample set from CPC on the way. Mainly just want to feel them, even ordering the Dunes set for our chump change game felt a little crazy. Never played in a casino (even though I'm only a few minutes away from Hollywood) or any other game at all for the matter so I've never held Paulsons or anything. But anyways, been having a good time checking out all of the cool vintage and custom chips and browsing the home game threads, already finding ways I might be able to make mine better. My table is what really needs addressed, mines a cheap market place find that I'm pretty sure would split in half if we all leaned on it at the same time.
