Old News but, the Sands Casino in Bethlehem casino was sold to an Indian tribe out of Alabama. The deal is supposed to be finalized this month. It's going to be very interesting to see when everything changes to the Wind Creek Casino and when they expand the outlet shopping and add a second Hotel. Also hopefully a Sportsbook will be ready for NFL Season. I wonder what they are going to do with all the Tables, Chairs, and Chips. Does anyone know if they have a law in PA like in Jersey that if a Casino closes the Chips must be destroyed. The Sands chips are pretty dirty in general. Almost worse than the TAJ Poker chips were especially the White $1's.

Has anyone ever played in any of the Wind Creek Casinos down south? How are they and the poker rooms run? As this was the Sands Corps smallest property this will be Wind Creek's largest property.

Not exactly the most inspired design of chips out there. I'd pass.

Look for an upcoming big auction for the furnishings. I bet they'll get rid of all the gaming tables, chairs, and whatnot at fire sale prices.

I have a couple of the $1's that I took as souvenirs when I played they once back in 2011 or 2012.
I remember them being in pretty good shape.
....but I guess that was 7 or 8 years ago.

I play there when I go visit family in PA. Their chips are worn and rounded down to hell, and covered with layers of gunk and hooker juice. When you picture the worst kind of casino used Paulsons, these are it.

Not sure they'd command much on the collector market, and my guess is they would be relegated to sub $1/chip pricing for starter sets. Of course, they could always have some un-circulated mint racks in the back. But my experience with their chips on the tables has been pretty "icky."

Their chips are very icky for sure. I would only want them as a keepsake maybe for a local game where all the players know the sands. The design of the chips are not great either. Definitely not for Collectors.

Once and while you’ll find some good &1s. When I see some mint ones I’ve been putting them in my pocket. But they are few and far between.

How does one find out about these auctions? I like the sound of “fire sale prices.”

I think everybody has backup sets/racks though. Those are the real prize if they have them.
